The place was load and cold so you need to wear your coat. I ordered the salmon; which was over cooked; the mash potatoes were cold not cool, cold and the asparagus were cold and overcooked. The server offered to bring me another order of side. After I finished eating the salmon the server brought out the mashed potatoes than about five minutes later he brought out the asparagus.

Never again!

People in my group got boneless wings, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. All those items were good. I ordered the chicken stir fry but it was not good - too much sauce, soggy noodles, hardly any vegetables. Stick to the pub-style food here.

I've been to Sitting Duck a few times, both in Trumbull and Oxford. The experience dining in has always been great. The menu is varied with tastes for every palate and the service is attentive and efficient. You should definitely give them a try, but I wouldn't go with a food delivery or take-out as your means of experiencing their offerings. I always try to give some grace for take-out because you're obviously not going to have the hottest/crispest meal once it arrives and things tend to dry out. This unfortunately detracts from how great Sitting Duck actually is.
TLDR; great experience dining in, far less so with take-out.

Good, local spot. The food is solid pub offerings, nothing special, but you won't be disappointed. The vibe is friendly and staff are always great.

A classic busy pub, with a food selection of tasty foods and a nice range of draft beer.

Met for lunch - although the parking lot was packed, I was seated immediately. After my friend arrived, we ordered and chatted. The food arrived quickly and cooked per our requested doneness..It was delicious.
Pricing was good for the quality of the food. And Peter (our server) was friendly and accommodating.
We highly recommend Sitting Duck for an upscale casual dining experience.

Don't waste your time or money here. Place is a joke. Small, noisy, rude employees. Bunch of people were waiting for tables, no one cleaned off tables as people were leaving, no one got seated, drink orders were forgotten. Literally the worst restaurant experience ever. Hard to rate the food as I wasn't able to get a table after 1 1/2 hours of waiting.

Came here with a group of friends to celebrate, it was a nice place, the only thing I didn't like was our waitress. She didn't really check on our table. We were waiting for people to join our party and when they joined she was nowhere to be found. We had to keep asking other waiters and waitresses to put in food for us. She didn't even come by to clean our table. We were stacking up dirty dishes at the edge of the table. Every once in awhile a boy would come over and clear it but didn't take everything. When she finally came around she was ready to hand us a check right after the last person in our party came and wanted to order, but again we had already put in a order with another waiter, we have no idea where she had been and she seemed aggravated. But besides the issue with the waitress, the food was actually really good and the other stuff that we flagged down was nice enough to help us.

I came here for dinner with friends and we had a good time. The interior of the space is big and there's lots of bar, booth, and table seating for groups of different sizes. Service was good and quick, but one of our orders was forgotten about so that was a bit disappointing.

We ordered their pierogi, wings, onion soup, lobster roll, and a burger. Everything was actually very good. The pierogis were flavorful and comforting. The french onion soup was perfect for the cold weather. Wings were also pretty standard and good. And, I absolutely loved their lobster roll. Not a bad spot for dinner!

Sitting Duck Tavern:
A cozy, laid-back spot known for its friendly vibe and solid pub fare. The menu offers classic American dishes like burgers, wings, and sandwiches, all well-prepared and flavorful. The drink selection is good, with a nice range of craft beers and cocktails. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, great for hanging out with friends or watching a game. Service is attentive without being overbearing. Perfect for anyone looking for a relaxed tavern experience with dependable food and drinks.
