I love coming to Al Aqsa! The food here is always tasty, and they have a great variety of meat curries to choose from. My absolute favorite is the chicken over rice, it’s always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also love that they sell perfumes here too, it’s such a nice touch! Definitely one of my go-to spots.

Delicious food and amazing service!
I stopped by Al Aqsa Halal Restaurant in Wallingford and tried their gyro, and it was absolutely delicious — super flavorful, juicy, and perfectly seasoned! The portion was generous and came with warm pita, fresh salad, and creamy sauces that tied everything together. The place was clean, the staff was really kind and welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in their food. Definitely one of the best halal spots in the area — I’ll be coming back to try more from their menu!

Wow! An absolute staple and must visit in Meriden. The owner is so kind and welcoming. I ordered butter chicken, samosas, and lamb/chicken over rice. I could eat this every day!!

Honestly love this place. The restaurant owner is always so kind and he makes all the food fresh. (He used to work as a butcher in NY, you just know this man knows what he's cooking.) We usually take our food for date night at the house but there is a table in the storefront if you want to have like a stereotypical drop in 90's vibe date. Cannot recommend this food enough!

Awesome and welcoming place. Nadeem takes time to explain everything, whats in everything and tells you names of things. He is always excited to see you and his specials are amazing. First time I tried goat was here and it is my new favorite meat. Amazing and AFFORDABLE restaurant.
