Diamond in the Rough. A NYC Halal cart in Wallingford. Excellent chicken shawarma and chicken over rice. I could drink the white sauce on its own. Naan and pita all fresh and delicious. Excellent samosas also. Owner/chef super nice.

I wish I tried this place sooner! I ordered the lamb over rice and it was delicious! Nicely seasoned and dressed, and not at all greasy. It was a nice hearty meal that left me full and satisfied without feeling bloated and lathargic. The shop was clean and nicely presented, and the owner was very friendly. Would definitely recommend, especially if you like spicy food.

I went for my first time today and ordered takeout of goat biryani and lamb/chicken mix gyro. After I tried it I called the store back and told the chef how delicious I think it is. The last time I had biryani this good it was at a south asian community center event where peoples grandmas was making it. Im just a white guy but this is up there with the best authentic iv had. Everythings seasoned right and the meats are fresh and juicy. This is the soul food that is hard to find...
