American Steamed Cheeseburgers

One of the few places to get a proper steamed cheeseburger. But they are so much more than that. Arguably one of the best hot dogs (they are JUMBO, a meal in their own and delicious)and steak and cheese , super thinly sliced, no grizzle and full of beefy flavor with a generous portion. Lots of choices of toppings while being reasonably priced. Family owned by some of the nicest people you can ever meet. Also they carry a wide variety of unique sodas that I don't know anywhere else to find. The only criticism I can give is that the tuna, potato salads... Could use a bit more mayo. I bring them home and add a little and they are perfect

Found this hidden gem after seeing a show at Oakdale. It was late, and we were hungry. The food was fantastic, the staff were lovely and conversational, even at a late hour, and the soda selection is fantastic. Even if you're not a soda drinker, I think they might have every type /brand of soda imaginable. We will definitely be back.

What an absolute hidden gem! The steamed cheeseburger was the phenomenal, easily one of the best burgers I have ever had.

The place is such a vibe as well. This place is a must try. Love that it’s a family business too!

The vast amount of soda selections had me in awe, was so hard to make a choice with so many great choices! Can’t wait to be back! Tom (owner) and his son were super nice and welcoming!

Stated as open online but they weren’t open

I was persuaded by the reviews to give this place a try and nothing was good about my experience or the steamed cheeseburgers and unfortunately I wasted money on two of them. To start, I ordered & paid with cash & the older lady proceeded to prepare my food without washing her hands or putting gloves on. I should have just walked out then. Bun was stale & cold as if it was just taken out of the refrigerator. The cheese was individually wrapped Kraft cheese that looks like rubber and was never even melted. The tomatoes and onions were cut very thick and yes I asked for extra mayo but it was literally oozing out of the sides. The worst part of all, the burger was extremely salty and over seasoned as if they dropped the salt. Bottom line - this was by far the worst steamed cheeseburger I have ever tried & I do not recommend.

It was my first time and I found it very curious the way of cooking the hamburger is supposed to be much healthier when they are steamed. Its flavor is very good and fresh.

Noticed I didn’t leave a review for this place when we visited a while ago. We needed a place to eat after taking the kids to the local indoors rock climbing place and saw this place. It sounded different and we said why not. The burgers were really good! There was a choice of different sides and they had a pretty decent selection of drinks. All drinks were either bottles or cans. Staff were friendly. Would recommend.

Despite the wacky interior, i ordered a steamed American cheese dog, and it was excellent.
Good range of drinks and clearly a small operation, but worth a try.

Came here after the Dream Theater concert at the Oakdale Theater on 3/14. The pizza place across the street kicked us out at 11pm as they weren't serving anymore (they advertise they are open until 12a). Luckily we saw this place was still open and we were glad we came. We were hungry after the show, and the food here really hit the spot. So good and the owner Tom was super nice as well. If you are in town out late, come here and try it out. You will NOT be disappointed. Hope to stop by again if in the area.

A home style environment. Friendly courteous down to earth staff the steam cheeseburger that I ate was absolutely phenomenal. The prices were also reasonable the hours that they stay open are absolutely astounding.
