Bruegger's Bagels

I never imagined I would find a McDonald's version of a bagel spot but here we are. This place is an insult to bagel spots. The bagels are very small circumference wise and overloaded with seasoning to the point it cut the roof of my mouth. I got my regular order ... ham, bacon, egg and a hashbrown on a garlic bagel with salt, pepper and ketchup. I was told they don't put the ketchup on the sandwich. I had to gather packets. When I saw that they were not cooking anything on a griddle I was concerned. I was right to be concerned. The bacon was thin and not crispy ... like McDonald's. The egg was a perfect circle ... like McDonald's. You can watch your food being prepared so at one point a little muffin was placed on the sandwich and smashed down into mush. I asked what was that and was told it was the hashbrown. Who makes muffin shaped hashbrowns? Whoever's idea that was should be fired. I also got an everything bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. The jalapeno cream cheese was overly spicy. It is supposed to be a nice blend ... edible. It was so spicy I was coughing so much I couldn't eat it. Also it was yellow for some reason??? When I open the sandwich with the hashbrown the smushed mess looked like vomit. I tasted a bit of it and it had cheese! I get some may want cheese in their hashbrown but that being the default is foul. I scraped it off and proceeded to destroy the roof of my mouth. I will say that the place was very clean and the employees were kind and attentive.

Went at busy time. Ordered egg sandwich to go. Spent 5 minutes in line waiting to order, only 1 cashier. Spent 10 minutes waiting for sandwich after ordering.

Best is the $9 dozen bagels and free coffee on Mondays if you order through the app or $9 cash if you walk in to pay but Mondays Only

Was in there waiting as an employee and a customer chatted about their colonoscopy experiences. Not the time or place. It was disgusting.

Coffee is ALWAYS lukewarm, and the bagel is rarely prepared as requested. I asked for TOASTED and get a bagel that’s not even browned or crisp. I give up! Not coming back!

I see the owner responded to customer reviews. Well from a business owner to another your problem in wallingford store is the staff!
First they need to drop their nasty attitude. And that's a big reason behind them not wearing a name tag.
Second could you please explain to them that when a customer place a mobile order the expectations are in an out NOT asking mobile orders customers to stay in the same line as walks in. Please have them wearing a name tag to raise accountability among them . By all means they are the worst customer service in the town of wallingford!

bagels were amazing, friendly service, quick and easy.

Sandwich was one of the worst I have ever had. There was virtually no meat in it and it was extremely salty.

The girl who works Saturday morning with black hair, don't know her name, she is younger, she is the best. I go every weekend and she remembers my order so 10/10 to her. Although, sometimes the bagels can lack cream cheese or be a little burnt depending on who is on. Overall good place that gets packed.

Brueggars is built on selling good bagels. It's pretty sad when they can't cook a bagel properly half of the time. And this is at many different locations in CT. The poppy bagels I bought were quite undercooked. They had no browning whatsoever and were very doughy. And no flavor. Had to throw it out. I think I'm looking for another bagel place.

Not a "real" bagel shop. Bagels are pretty subpar. They don't cook any of the meats or eggs just premade garbage. Think Dunkin breakfast sandwiches, except with mildly better bagels. Maybe if it was reasonably priced you could let the quality slide but, it's cheaper to go to a real bagel place.

ok i’m annoyed cause sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s not, they’ve messed up our order so much like one time i literally got a bagel with an egg nothing else. sometimes they won’t toast our bagel and today i got a siracha honey sunrise and there was no cream cheese an egg and a SAUSAGE ☠️ it wasn’t even busy in there and i ordered ahead how do you get confused and put a sausage in there… there was also no bacon either
