Let me start with I always try to find the good in every place I visit.Unfortunately today while visiting this Duchess location I was extremely disappointed. I've got Duchess from other locations and never had an issue, although it has been a long time a few years.The service was quick they took our order and found came out quickly, the burgers where very good, the onion rings where over fried and clumped together the chicken nuggets where so over fried they where brown instead of golden and tasted like oil.I asked for another order which they made very quick but they looked and tasted the same, from working in a kitchen I'm going to go with they haven't changed the oil.I hope this was an off day Unfortunately it wasn't cheap $38 for 2 people and to pretty much only eat half the food is disappointing.

Truly the only place I ever got food poisoning. I ate there a few times before and then I went to pick up breakfast. I knew the potatoes and the sandwich was not the best . I could taste something in the potatoes that didn't belong,but I never expected to lose 2days of my life vomiting and on the toilet. I will never eat there again and I should have put more weight on the warning signs. I witnessed that no one was wearing masks and that people were wearing gloves to touch food and then the register but I thought I was tough. I have lived 40+yrs and duchess wins the award for giving me undeniable food poisoning.

Question? How come Hotties,Salt and Rye, Yolk and Duchess( all resturants) are listed at the same address( 124 church st wlfd) and offer the same food but at different prices on GrubHub....Hmmm!!

Best fast food style experience ever! I’m a difficult vegetarian, so eating out is hard for me, but everyone on the staff was AWESOME. They were all incredibly accommodating and helpful - and the food was delicious! Thank you to everyone at duchess in wallingford!

Sloooooooooooooooooooow service. No joke, it was just twilight when we ordered. By the time we received the food, it was dark. It is nothing new. However, this time was way too long.

Where is the extra meat? I order the Asian Chicken Salad with extra meat. It was delivered by Grubhub. Once I notice that I did not get extra meat. I called Duchess. But Duchess did not refund me for the extra meat or took responsibility. I love Duchess, but not anymore. Colony diner is better.
