During our second visit to Frankie's, we were unfortunately disappointed with both the service and the quality of the food. Our order included clam strips, a chili dog, fries, and onion rings; however, the clam strips resembled crumbled clams, the chili was unappealing, and the onion rings were excessively battered. Given our experience in the restaurant industry, we suspect that frozen, rather than fresh, ingredients were used. Furthermore, the service was subpar, with considerable confusion during order placement due to the order-taker wearing earbuds. We may not return for a third visit.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. I placed my order and when I tried to use my gift card that I got for Christmas last year, it declined. I advised the staff that I never used it so that can't be correct. She tried to enter it manually and it declined again. I went online and proved that there was enough money on it. In the meantime I had paid for it with my credit card. The manager came out and tried it. I told him if the gift card works i would like a credit to my card. It did not work. He explained that they got a new system a few months ago and the gift cards are different so that is probably why it did not work. He told me to come back in a couple of weeks and he will exchange my gift card for a new one. He then credited my card anyway. That was one the best experiences that I had at any restaurant. The food is awesome. I highly recommend them.

I haven't eaten at Frankie's, Wallingford since they've changed hands. Unfortunately, I will not be eating here again. This is NOT the same Frankie's that I last ate at a few months ago. Being a regular customer, I can say that the hot dogs now are not a mild flavor. They now have a more seasoned or "spicier" flavor. The buns are not the same either. Also apparently there is no outdoor pickup window. The button to push is still at the window to alert staff you are there to pick up your order. Well, either they either ignored me or they disconnected the bell because no one ever came to the window to greet me.. They just kept talking to each other other behind the counter. Also, before, the original owners would have the inside of the restaurant spotless. I wanted to add relish to my hot dog and decided not to because the condiment station was a mess. Relish and mustard drops all over the station. I should have known to stay away when I saw the exterior of the building was completely painted over to one boring color, thus getting rid of all the painting of the Frankie cartoon characters that made the place stand out and whimsical. This place looks as boring as the food tastes. So disappointing....

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE! Ordered though their website and it went to the wrong location (even though the receipt had the correct location selected). Onion rings were not the best. Burger was good but when I asked for onions I didn't know they'd add a mountain of them onto the burger. There are so many places to get food like this in the area, pick somewhere else.

I just got a clam strip order and had a hard time finding the clam strips under all the French fries
Kinda gross to be honest. McDonald’s is better. Burger was the same you’d get as a kid at school lunch and the cheese cubes were somehow burnt on the outside and barely cooked on the inside.
