We have been on a year long pizza tour. This place is awesome. Best crunch so far.. and the sauce is amazing. My son and I bought 3 large regular pies not knowing that we should've probably ordered the mozzarella..but we ate a pie and a half between us, and then I brought some home and we finished it all .. I could have run 10 miles after it. Very light and enjoyable. We are coming back for the mozzarella!

From the beginning every pizza I ordered was amazing. Truly. Perfectly cooked. Great taste. Visually stunning. But now…. Idk what has happened. In only a short time it’s already gone down hill. I don’t get it. Two times ago I ordered pizza and it was straight burnt. Like inedible. I thought they were having an off day. Although to be honest I’ve worked in restaurants my entire life and if you see you desecrated a pizza you start over. Not serve it to a customer who’s paying top dollar. They’re quite pricey which normally is a non issue bc I’d rather pay more for an amazing pizza than less for a pile of junk. The last time I got the pizza it was undercook and flabby. Again I thought .. maybe they were so busy they weren’t paying attention. Or maybe bc it was earlier in the day and the ovens weren’t hot enough yet. Either way I’ve had it enough times to chalk it up as a fluke. So today I decide to order it again. I even told the girl taking the order about the last two times I ordered and how I’d really appreciate it if they could make sure it was done correctly. Charred but not burnt and not undercooked. She was very sweet and said absolutely I know exactly what you mean. Ok perfect! I go and pick up my pizza and not only is it not cooked correctly, but it looks as if it was made last night. You know how pizza looks the next day. It didn’t look fresh. The cheese wasn’t melty. It wasn’t even warm. It sincerely looked like a pizza they made the day before and saved it for the next day not wanting to throw it away wasting $$. It wasn’t cheesy but dry. The crust looked like it was cooked ok but just by the skin of its teeth. It’s nothing like it used to be. Idk if they’re cutting corners or have a new cook but they need to go back to the original way bc this is not good. And again, they’re on the expensive side. $17 for a small pizza is a lot of money. It’s bread sauce and cheese. I got half pepperoni. But still, that should be like $12. I don’t mind paying more when it’s delicious but this was something I coulda gotten anywhere. It’s too bad bc they used to be amazing. I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews but I’m really bummed. And the pictures they post on the Wallingford fb forum always look so amazing. Every pie that leaves the building should look like those photos. We eat with our eyes first so when something doesn’t look right it automatically tells your brain it isn’t good. I gave it 3 stars bc I know what it could be and what it once was but if I based it solely off todays plus the last 2
visits they would have gotten 1 ⭐️. I tried to give them a fair chance to recover but this is now 3 strikes. Please do better. You were the best around. It’s very disappointing

Just tried this spot for the first time. Ordered the fresh tomato and the eggplant special pie. Both pies were cooked extremely well, perfect for New Haven style. The prices are a bit high for what I would call a medium size pizza (16” large). Also, there was a lack of taste… just bland. It’s like there wasn’t enough garlic or oregano just overall taste to the pizza. I had high hopes when I saw the pies and how good they looked. The taste wasn’t there though. Probably won’t go back but I hope they continue and figure things out better. They definitely know how to cook a pie.

I got 2 medium pies. 1 sausage and 1 mushroom and spinach.
the pies were cooked perfectly. crispy and the sauce and cheese were excellent. the toppings were fresh and not from cans. the sausage was real deal Italian. highly recommend.

I tried your Pepperoni pizza, little sweet n little spice..OMG, this was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing!
I’m not a spicy eater but the honey with the mild spice hit the spot! I usually get mozzarella pizza, but this time I tried the Pepperoni sweet n spicy, I’m so happy I did!
I will be back for more, thank you.

I’ve known Mike for a long time now, and know how much he puts into Inferno. His work ethic is immeasurable, and the pride he takes in his craft speaks measures. The pizza speaks for itself. Overall great experience, get down here if you haven’t already.
