Kouign, a pastry from France that is worthy of royalty is also a local gem in Wallingford! This bakery delivers the absolute best. The owner can be seen legitimately in the back working away to produce some of the best pastries I've ever had. Croissants that are light and buttery with crunch on the outside and are soft on the inside. The cinnamon rolls are an addiction in themselves alone, the cookies - perfect. Her talent as a baker is something I have never seen in my life prior to her bakeries arrival. Kouign represents what all bakeries should strive for.

Just wow. One pastry was better than the next. We went early Saturday morning just after 8:00 and it wasn't busy. The cases were full and they were still bringing more freshly baked pastries about of the back. I got a box with a classic Cinnabon, chocolate croissant, guava and cheese croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and coffee cake muffin. Everything was absolutely delicious. Truly some of the best I've ever had. There is a self-serve coffee station but no other coffee or espresso beverages. You come here strictly for the baked goods. (Go down the street to Green Kettle Coffee for a latte.) Get here early and check their Instagram - They do sell out and close early, especially on weekends.

Delicious pastries! My wife loved her guava cheese croissant. Sadly she did not get to try the toffee chocolate chip cookie I bought for her, but rumor says it was amazing. Everything looked so tasty, will definitely return to try other things!

This place has an absolute artist making delicious baked goods. I sometimes buy something and don’t want to eat it because it looks so amazing. You can tell a lot of time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears go into making these delectable treats! Always an amazing experience. Visually amazing and beyond delicious. Get here early because they usually sell out fast!

The only downfall is that I rarely enjoy their goods because they sell out very quickly. I guess that's a good problem to have!

Amazing, delicious & always the best variety of pastries and treats !
I don't know how I haven't reviewed before today! Kouign is absolutely phenomenal. It's a bit out of the way for me (25 minute drive) but I have never regretted making the trip. It's impossible to get a bad pastry here, but I specifically recommend her chocolate chip cookies. I promise you've never had one quite like it.Weekends can sell out pretty quickly, so make sure you check Instagram for updates!
