Due to being late to our 4:30pm reservation (our fault) we had to sit at the bar. The service was quite slow (at 5pm) as the bartender appeared a bit overwhelmed. After waiting nearly an hour for our food to come out, we asked the bartender to check on it for us. He disappeared for about five minutes. Considering that my wife's food was not hot and mine was, the bartender either had forgotten about our food or something went awry in the kitchen. Regardless, we only had time to eat half of it before having to leave to get to a show on time.

The food was delicious- bread and olives as a start- superb. I ordered the sea bass Milanese. My friend had the pork chops with potatoes and peppers- also delicious. The portions were large. Service was great and the place had an overall good vibe. I can't wait to go back. Make a reservation, the restaurant is small.

What a great find in Wallingford! My girlfriends and I were looking to have a quick night out after work and we chose La Piazza since we had never been there before, and boy am I glad we did. The food was delicious! I am a big critic, as my family is in the catering business, so I usually have something to say about food anywhere we go, but I was very impressed with the food at La Piazza. The chef is fantastic! Big portions, fresh foods, nicely presented! The drinks also were very creative and tasty. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Didn’t make a reservation because they had plenty of tables on open table but when we walked in we were met with a super rude hostess who said there would be a wait. We said there are tables on open table right now we could just make a reservation. She told us we couldn’t use an open table reservation so…what’s the point of having online reservations? Was excited to try your food and you came recommended but I guess we won’t be seeing for ourselves based on that interaction alone.
