I don't know why this place has such low ratings because I've fully enjoyed everything I have tried here! I enjoyed it so much that I had to go twice last weekend. The tri color cookies and lemon cheesecake squares are my favorite!

A hidden gem on Rt 5. Living in town, I avoid Rt 5. Today, I drove by and stopped. Such friendly people. Pastries, cookies, fresh bread, and Italian products. And Gelato!! There are tables outside to sit and enjoy any of the above. Can't wait for the Easter Pies!! So if you're in the area stop and check it out!

Pastries are just okay. I personally won't come order from here again. Had to at least give it a try once since I'm local. Cookies were small and not really tasty. Turnover was thinly filled. Cupcake had whipped cream and would have been better with buttercream but that's a personal preference. I will stick with Lucibellos in New Haven and Kougin in this area since I'm local.

Swung by Mozzicato's Bakery & Pastry shop for last-minute desserts for a birthday meal. It's one of the closest bakeries nearby and we've had their cannoli on occasion at family gatherings. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the overwhelming range of pastries, cookies, cakes and other italian desserts. It was impressive. We decided on a variety of desserts that could be sampled for that evening. The Lemon Cheesecake slices were a must and we got two. We tried two of their Cream Horns, one topped with semi-sweet chocolate chips and the other, milk chocolate chips. We got a standard Cookies & Cream Cake slice that had chocolate cake with a cookies and cream frosting. Our last slice was a ricotta and chocolate cream cake, the texture was like pudding! We really enjoyed all the treats. The lemon cheesecake was my favorite; tangy, rich, smooth and buttery crust. The young lady that served us was helpful, but we felt the vibe that she was a little annoyed. Firstly, none of the items in the pastry cases had display labels. It was a lot of pointing and asking what was what. Secondly, I have a few food allergies. She said she would let us know. We were picking pastries and cakes solely from their looks or what we thought they were. I think it would be more efficient if the items were clearly marked, especially with the large variety Mozzicato's has. I think we would stop in at Mozzicato's again. The bakery is large with seating inside and outside to have a treat and a cup of coffee. The price for 6 pasties/slices was pleasantly surprising and not too expensive.

Large variety of pastries , cakes and cookies. The staff is helpful and you can ask what flavor is each pastry. Place is nor cozy, more like a regular cafeteria but people usually takes take out. Pastries as Okey, good quality for price.

Do NOT order online and try to get any help from them. We spent over $100 on cookies to be shipped to California (family from the area, so we wanted something special for Thanksgiving). We have never received confirmation of shipment and have tried to contact people for days. They pass the phone around and then when I finally got someone to give me an email address to ask, it was WRONG and bounced back. So disappointed. Who knows if we will ever get cookies or over $100 back... so disappointing.

I don't normally write reviews but I feel like my experience with this bakery on Saturday warrants it. I attached a photo below of what a $156 cannoli cake looks like from this place. If I could give zero stars I would. I recently ordered a cannoli sheet cake that feeds 60 people for my nephew's baptism. I went to the store in person TWICE to go over specifically what I wanted on the cake and even provided a reference photo. I was told it wouldn't be an issue. When I go to pick up the cake on the day of the baptism I'm told they don't have an order here for me. After 20 minutes of pure panic they are able to finally find it! The cake looks NOTHING like the photo I showed them and is totally not what I was expecting. I'm so upset and ask if there's anyway they can fix this before the party. They offer to "fix" the cake and will have it ready in two hours. I had to leave church early and drive over 20 minutes back to the bakery to finally get this cake. When I saw the second attempt I was even more disappointed. At this point I was desperate for something to feed 60 people and I took the cake. I expressed my disappointment to the girl working at the bakery she told me that she would let the manager know and he could give me a refund. A day later the manager finally calls me. He was extremely dismissive and rude. He apologized for the inconvenience and said "he would speak to his staff about it." When I expressed how disappointed and upset I was at the quality of service and the product I was given he didn't care. He stated he wasn't going to give me a refund and HE thought that even though the first cake WAS NOT what I had asked for HE thought it was presented well so there was no issue. I have never experienced such horrible customer service from start to finish. The staff working there are clearly not competent in company policy. The manager does not care about the customer or the level of product that is produced from his bakery. As a warning to others do not use this bakery for big cake purchases because at the end of the day they don't value your business!

I visited here and was overwhelmed at the size of the shop. It has shelf after shelf. of lucious Italian pastries. It was a tough choice to pick out just a few things. I ended up getting a canoli, and some danish. Hope the pictures I post can give you an idea what it is like inside. I would highly recommend this bakery. It was yummy.

This is an unbelievable bakery with everything that you could possibly want from cookies to pastries… It was just unbelievable. My only criticism would be their espresso and cappuccinos were just OK….but a great place to stop by since there are few bakeries like this!!!

The cannolis I purchased were delicious. My 2 stars are for their customer service. I called and placed an order for the cannolis a few days before pickup. They were suppose to be ready at 5. I arrive after 5 and they were not made. I called to speak with the owner and was transferred to the managers husband. Not sure what the managers husband had to do with the business? He did not apologize that they were not made or did not offer anything for the inconvenience of being late to the party I was taking the order to. He stated that they are made to order, while the associate there stated they were suppose to be made early morning. Who’s lying? ? Really disappointed!
