Pancheros Mexican Grill - Wallingford

We ordered online and when we went in to pick it up, we were not so nicely “greeted” by the girl behind the counter, completely ignoring us. My partner and I hadn’t been to Pancheros in years and figured we’d try it tonight, and this was not an experience I’d like to repeat. When we walked up to the counter expecting to be greeted, the girl working was looking completely through us, to the point my partner and I were looking at each other confused as to what was going on. We kept looking at her, waiting for the interaction to begin; however, she started saying “how come you always come in at this time?” so we both said “what?” And she said it again. Well, she was actually speaking to her friend that was visiting while she was working. Instead of ignoring him until we were helped, she ignored us. We then had to be helped by the nice guy at the register who was dealing with a handful of other customers who she was not helping with either. Not only was our customer service experience terrible, but when we got home and began eating, my burrito was filled with massive pieces of hard, raw onion. The burrito itself was fine, but I kept having to pick out huge pieces of raw onion from the burrito or even my mouth. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

The crew be holding it down, the fresh press burrito is everything. I miss the old tofu on a corporate level but outside of that, I still keep coming back because the burritos are heavy and generous. If I haven't eaten all day and I need nourishment, this place is the place to be. So satisfying and im so grateful. Thank you wallingford team <3

Every time I order online whether they are busy or not, they never have my order ready and I have to wait an extra 30 minutes just to be acknowledged. Im a chef and this is very unprofessional. I fan only except so many free burrito cards for the 'inconvenience' before I take my business elsewhere

Going there to order is no problem and the food is pretty good but if you are ordering from an app *through my experience only* they don't tend to make the food till you get there and ask for the food but other than that its a good spot to have lunch or dinner!

Food was great as was the service (above and beyond friendly/helpful. 3 stars for the cleanliness of the restaurant. Flys around the garbage near the soda dispenser leading to flys generally around the store. A lot of surfaces looked like they were in need of a good wipe down. Music was a notch or two too loud

They have the best burritos and best of the best staff. Taste is great compared to other burrito places. Perfect!

I like Pancheros. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because they don’t mix the ingredients together well in the burrito. I understand when it’s busy, but there were only 2 customers including me. I would rather wait 30 more seconds and have it mixed together well. As opposed to pockets of guacamole, sour cream, rice, beans, etc. would still recommend, and won’t stop me from going back.

Pancheros never misses! The service here is consistently amazing—the staff is always friendly, quick, and really makes you feel welcome. But the real star is the food. The quesadillas? Hands down, the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly grilled, loaded with flavor, and just the right amount of crisp and melt. And don’t even get me started on the queso, it’s on another level. Creamy and rich. If you haven’t been to Pancheros yet, you’re seriously missing out.

I recently moved to Wallingford and on Friday was my first time getting pancheros with my wife and 3 kids I didn’t know what to order and a young man iad helped us all order and took us threw every ingredient there was available and he was very generous and kind with the servings and explained how everything is fresh even the burritos we enjoyed our food and will be coming back again

The best of all the “fast food” burrito places. They make the tortillas fresh to order, and all the ingredients are fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. I also like that they mix the burrito before wrapping. The staff is always friendly and courteous.

Do not recommend ordering online. Ordered 4 burritos and all orders were incorrect.
One bigger mistake was that Queso was put in mine and im lactose intolerant.
Beans were also undercooked and hard. Usually have no problems ordering in person but all times i’ve ordered online, something is messed up.
