The waiter was attentive and responsive as well as courteous.They had Mariachi singers that were fun and very engaging. 5 stars for food! Delicious and affordable. 3 stars for service because- I ordered online - when I picked up my food, there was no one in sight, but there was a sign telling customers to wait for assistance before taking their order. I didn’t have time to wait. 3 stars for the atmosphere - looks like a great place to dine, but we ordered take out, so I can’t say for sure. Overall I definitely recommend this restaurant and will go there again

Food is good, generous servings. We both ate fajitas- chicken for me, beef for him. All was good, with a skinny margarita which was great. We have been here different times and keep coming back. It's always a flavorful time at Vida Mexicana. Vida Mexicana is our go-to sit down Mexican restaurant in the Wallingford area for lunch and dinner. It's located in the Lowe's Plaza next to Chick-fil-a. The dishes are so full of flavor, saucy and fresh. I will crave for their enchiladas. Last time I dined in, I got the Enchiladas Vegetarians. Served with a bright, colorful, green spinach sauce, the enchiladas were stuffed with freshly roasted zucchini, squash, mushrooms and corn. It's so delicious. They have a vegetarian section on the menu too. My favorite dish is the Shrimp Chipotle. A medley of shrimp, mango, pineapple, zucchini, onions, peppers in a slightly spicy, cream chipotle sauce, served over rice. This is a must try. A couple other dishes people in my group have liked are the Carnitas Tapatias and Veggie Yucatan. I do like that Vida's menu isn't overly complicated like some other Mexican restaurants. Every time we dine in, the staff and our waiters have been so nice and attentive. Everyone we encounter throws friendly vibes, from when we are first greeted in and when we leave. The restaurant hardly gets busy, likely from the other food options near by. They all don't know what they are missing.

my husband got the beef hard tacos no flavor, refried beans were disgusting. I got steak tacos wanted on corn got on flour. Only thing that came out was steak on flour tortillas. The lettuce on the side was old. Refried beans were tasteless as was the steak. No seasoning or spice. we ordered street corn absolutely disgusting. Corn was old and no taste. seasoning minimum. I ordered a margarita and we had a wine. $74.00.. Will never go back. 74.00 for tacos I would rather of spent on a good meal.

I love the food and the drink here and I have been there several times but my last 2 visits to this restaurant have been unpleasant. Not because of the food or the drink or the service, but because they had a DJ playing music so loud that you can barely have a conversation with someone in the dining area, let alone the bar. It’s obnoxious and I’ve had to walk out and go somewhere else to eat. I’m not sure if they only do this on the weekends so you may want to call first to see if they are having a DJ before going. The food, drink and service are worth it but the loud obnoxious music is not. I don’t know if this restaurant wants to be a club on the weekends but I won’t be eating there if there is a DJ.Parking: The place gets busy but I never had a problem finding parking.
