It’s a bit expensive for a bunch of rice in a bowl with a bit of fish… but very tasty! I recommend it, not every day but….

The food is great-everything is fresh and delicious! The service always leaves something to be desired. The employees are not friendly, always distracted and act as if you’re bothering them.

The worst customer service , the store is run by lazy high school age kids with no work ethic. Every-time we go there is an issue with our order, even after paying extra . We gave them chances , as we wanted to support businesses in town, but never again.

I'm usually pretty easy going but this just take the cake. I love poke bowls but the people that works there is a hit or miss. Today is a HUGE miss. When I first walked in, I stood there for at least 2 min to have one of the 6 people that were sitting around to take my order. Then I was asked if they can help me. Then the girl acted like I was bothering her. The whole time I was ordering she didn't put enough protein and topping that looked like there's enough in there, mostly rice. After all of that, I left 10% tip that cost almost $40 because I refuse to be a Karen. But now it's bothering me so much that I can't even eat it.

Where to begin…I pulled into some spaces in the back of the restaurant to check out some car issues. While realizing my muffler and tail pipe were hanging from my car, a gentleman, Marcus, came over to assist. Unbeknownst to me, he was the owner of Pokemoto. This man got on the ground, under my car and started helping and trying to improvise. My dad shows up at same time. Between my father and Marcus, my car is drivable now. It didn’t stop there. Marcus insisted we come into the restaurant to wash our hands and have meals on the house. I didn’t expect him to be so kind and bless us further. It’s easier to give a blessing then take one that’s for sure. So after a lot of insisting we accept the offer of the free meals. The restaurant is amazingly clean and the atmosphere is vibrant and inviting. The food looked very fresh and tended to. LET ME TELL YOU….I think I have a new favorite spot. I chose the ginger chicken bowl with brown rice. It was so fresh and flavorful! Chicken was tender, rice was just right (not everyone can nail brown rice), Kani salad was delicious. The avocado was perfect and the cabbage salad was fresh and crisp. A tad of sesame oil was the icing on the cake. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN HERE YOU NEED TO GO. Not only is the food great but the person who owns it is a kind person and believes in blessing others. I am grateful to have had his help with my vehicle, his delicious food and to have met a good human. The woman who assisted in serving our food was very polite and kind as well. I am thankful for them both.Marcus again I thank you! We will definitely be back!

A cool Hawaiian food that exists primarily of raw fish cubes covered in toppings. If you like sushi you'll like poke. The food is made " sandwich shop style" where you direct an employee over the counter to pick your ingredients from a number of closely packed open food bins. It's definitely a sandwich shop style experience. The young adults behind the counter are usually very polite. I've had takeout orders messed up a few times when people ordered things that were similar, and every delivery service has an incomplete menu.Since it's not exactly clear, people who can't handle spice should steer away from the "Pokemoto Chojang" sauce (as well as spicy mayo, wasabi and sweet chili sauces) as well as the new "Togorashi" crunch.Vegetarian options: A poke bowl consists of rice, a pile of vegetarian friendly toppings and a protein choice. Unfortunately tofu is the only "protein" available for vegetarians. Avocado is available as a topping as well, but costs extra.Dietary restrictions: While different utensils are typically used for each ingredient, as well as new bowls and mixing spoons per order it's easily possible for someone to accidentally drop say shrimp into the tofu bucket.

On Thursday, January 26th, I met a wonderful person. This person helped me and my daughter with a car issue in a parking lot. Not only did he help us, but he also offered to wash up in his restaurant. Yes, this person is the owner of the POKÉMOTO Hawaiian Poké in Wallingford CT. His name is Marcus. Then he offered us a free bowl on him and OMG...the bowl he had his wonderful team member put together was to die for. The Hawaiian bowl is loaded with ahi tuna, shrimp, rice, veggies, and every bit of whatever you want to add to it. It was delicious This is my first time at Pokémoto and it will not be my last. The place was a clean well-kept environment too. If you have not been to POKÉMOTO for a Hawaiian Sushi bowl then this is a must. I know what you must think, everything tastes better when it's free. I assure you it was not about that for we paid it forward to the fantastic team member that served us. Everything that was assembled into the bowl was fresh, delicious, and extremely filling. So, not only did Marcus the owner make a new customer, I am honored to call him a friend. Thank you Marcus for your help and your kindness.Check them out at pokemoto.com
