Honestly it was awesome, i had the drunkin noodles and thai ice tea and it was probably the best ive had honestly. The garnish was pretty as well. staff was polite and nice, and the atmosphere was peaceful

South Side Thai in Wallingford, CT, is truly the best Thai spot in Connecticut, no contest! The flavors burst with boldness, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and every dish is cooked to perfection with generous portions that leave you more than satisfied. Everything here is delicious! You know it’s prepared with an immense amount of love. One of my family’s favorite treats is their huge iced thai tea topped with a thai tea popsicle. It’s wonderful with coconut milk! Don’t miss their Tom Kha soup, especially with tofu. It’s unbelievably flavorful. Leave a little room for dessert. Their fried banana with honey are the perfect way to end your meal. This place is an absolute must experience. You’ll find yourself coming back again and again and telling everyone about it!

We shared the Basil Duck and Tom Kha Soup, both full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The jasmine rice was soft and fragrant. The waitress checked on us often and made us feel truly welcome.

The Tom Yum Soup was my introduction to real Thai flavor spicy, sour, and simply amazing. The server explained each ingredient, which made me appreciate the meal even more.

Our family loved the Mango Curry! It was creamy, sweet, and just a little spicy — everyone finished their plate with a smile. The sauce was perfectly balanced, and the staff made sure our table always had warm rice and water refills.

This place is great. The food is good. Prices are reasonable. Service is fast. I recommend the Thai chicken wings, pad Thai and for dessert the mango with sticky rice. You can’t go wrong with these choices.

First, I hate Thai food. Okay, hate is a strong word. Let's say it is not my first Asian food choice. South Side Thai makes me rethink that position.

The service is friendly. We've been here only a few times, and it is already like we're old hand regulars. And this is even while there is a steady stream of Uber Eats drivers all the time while we're eating.

The menu is quite varied. They have takoyaki, the Japanese octopus pancake, which just keeps me coming back, cuz, umami-zilla. I like the Drunken Noodles on Thai level, nuclear, numinous fire heat. They do that very well. I would like it with a little more sauce, but that's me. If I'm not making a mess when I eat, then I'm not enjoying dinner.

Do come on by, give it a go. You won't be sorry and you won't have bored taste buds.

I dined in and got the yellow curry with shrimp, the curry puffs, takoyaki, and some mango sticky rice. Everything was absolutely delicious and I fear I had to almost be rolled out of the restaurant. This has been my normal thai spot for years and I don't foresee that changing anytime soon.
