Great service, prompt, helpful, friendly. Comfortable casual atmosphere for dinner. Food was just ok. Fries were not piping hot and needed salt or other seasoning - nothing on table to fix this. Burgers could have used a bit more flavor.
I got the chuck Norris burger and calamari. The food was really good. I also had a couple mixed drinks. Friendly bartender. I like the food more than the drinks.

Because Tap & Vine is in Downtown Wallingford -- and I'm usually Uptown -- I tend to forget about it. But when I do remember, I am rewarded with tasty craft cocktails and well-made small plates that are perfect for sharing. The outdoor patio was terrific on a June Friday evening. The calamari was spicy-sweet, and the cheesesteak eggrolls tasted house-made; both were delicious. My wife swears that the Field of Dreams -- gin, St. Germain, lavender and cucumber served...
