The bees is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is the best and the food is always spot on. Highly recommend
We absolutely love grabbing breakfast or brunch. Food is delicious and the staff are friendly and very helpful. ♥️
A perfect spot to enjoy breakfast with a cozy atmosphere! The seating is inviting, especially with the beautiful seasonal decor that adds a warm touch to the experience. The food is fairly priced, with fresh ingredients that make a noticeable difference. The bun was delicious, with a great balance of flavors. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. If you’re looking for a pleasant place to start your day, I’d definitely recommend stopping by here!

Terrible service. There was a hair in my salad. The buffalo chicken sandwich wasn't too bad but It kept falling apart in my hands as I was eating it. Our waitress never came back to check to see how we we're doing. Overall not my best recommendation to eat at that place.

We stumbled upon this great address while roaming around, and were accepted 20’ before the kitchen closed. Amazing burger and fries, great service and really good playlist ?

I really wish I could like this place the food is good but it took an hour for our food to come out. the place was wall to wall busy with a wait and I get it, it's going to take a little longer... but an hour for breakfast for 3 people?! no thank you. I've been there 3 times and it's the same wait everytime too. I complained to waitress and said I know it not your fault but why hasn't this been fixed yet? she said the stove top can't hold a lot of food. I said okaaaay so she needs to get a bigger grill or shouldn't be consistently sitting people and let the kitchen catch up on orders.
the waitress came back and said that Jenn (the owner) took $20 off the check.. okay great thanks but the owner couldn't have come out to our table and personally talked to us?! for someone whose been in the business for over 10years I would of never hid inside.
so I won't be going back anymore unfortunately
and only wrote this post because I couldn't talk to the owner in person

Very good food and service, also very crowded and noisy, nearly too tight to navigate the dining area. For us, too few vegetarian options to make this place a dining destination.
Vegetarian options: A few though very limited.

It’s not often I rave about places I visit and it takes a lot to wow me enough to write a review. But this one of the cutest places I have ever visited! The whole aesthetic is modern yet cozy with hive elements. The little details of honeycomb tiles and subtle wall pieces are laced throughout the interior really making their brand pop without being overdone or gimmicky. It’s very classy.
I found The Bees Knees Bistro on google and I am soooo happy I did! We eat pretty clean so finding this spot was a blessing! My husband and I started with the Loaded Pumpkin Latte and we both ordered the “catch a redeye” breakfast. My son had the kids buttermilk pancake with a side of fruit. He loved his and ate pretty much all of it which says a lot because he usually is super picky when we eat out. I love that they use eggs from pasture raised chickens and the fruit tastes like it’s from a local farm instead of a grocery chain. Love that! Everything was cooked to perfection.
Everything was very well thought out, from the design and menu to the drink ware, dishes and little touches in the plating!
Needless to say, next time we travel to CT we will be back for sure! ??

who enjoys this place? You walk in at 10:00 am and they tell you they are no longer serving breakfast? walked out. The time prior we went they stated they aren't doing take out today? Do yourself a huge favor, give your money to literally any other establishment in Wallingford.

Visiting CT this week (born & raised but living in AZ now)! Enjoyed breakfast at The Bees Knees Bistro with my favorite Aunt & Uncle who live in Wallingford! Food was yummy! As a vegan for health and dietary reasons I devoured the Banana Smash Toast! They both ordered The Basic Bee with no meat and sourdough toast! To our surprise , the eggs came out as a sandwich! Not expected but delicious nonetheless! Great options for all dietary requirements! Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free! Pricing is reasonable! Cozy space with indoor and outdoor seating! Only challenges we faced (may be due to outdoor seating): no silverware or napkins on the table and none brought with food; no creamer or spoons for coffee - even when we asked, we had to go inside and ask again. Having said all this, we will return!
Great menu, amazing food and flavors! Very cute and clean atmosphere with smiling faces all around. The service was impeccable; our waitress Grace was kind, accommodating, had a great memory for all our requests and gave great recommendations. There are gluten/dairy free options as well! This is the second time I get the carpenter bee sandwich which I love and their pasta salad was some of the best we have had. Everything is so fresh and their garlic aioli is delicious I want it on everything.
We highly recommend and will be back :) thank you!

Not a huge menu but between the food, the aesthetics and atmosphere. This will become your new go to. Be aware that Sunday is only breakfast and it is really loud there.
Kid-friendliness: I see kids in there all the time
Wheelchair accessibility: It is one floor and easily accessible but is crowded so may have some issues getting around in a wheelchair.
