This is an edit. The prior review was five stars. The food has gone downhill. Greek sampler had absolutely no flavor what so ever, and less than one third of the menu is actually greek. Avgolemono is bland. Tried to notify owner on facebook, but he cant take constructive criticism, and blocked med from commenting. Sad. Used to be excellent.

Finally! Wallingford has an authentic Greek purveyor of fine Greek food! I am not Greek myself but their food is INCREDIBLE! If you are a fan of Momoun's in New Haven, or Layla's (originally in Stamford with multiple locations now, they are Mediterranean restaurants) (Greece is in the Mediterranean along with several other countries) restaurants you will be just as happy as me that many of your favorite dishes are now available closer to home and easily, easily! as good if not better. If you have never tried Greek cuisine or are on the fence...do yourself a favor and try Greek Guy! I have yet to order a meal from them that has not been less than fantastic. I can tell you as a 20 year lover of, Greek and Mediterranean food, they take it to another level beyond any restaurant within 50 miles if not 100. And I travel all over the entire state of Connecticut AND Western Massachusetts every day for my job fixing restaurant equipment. The tatziki sauce is unmistakably prepared fresh and on premises (trust me, it will be obvious especially of you have ever been to anyplace like Pitaziki on Temple St in New Haven). Don't mistake this for Greek Diner food (which I also appreciate and frequent for their late hours and wide variety) this is all delicious, made from scratch, authentic Greek food.

Excellent food and service. For a hole in the wall kind of joint everything was exceptional. Best gyro I ever had that wasn't made by a tiny old greek lady. Just try it out yourself.
