Absolutely loved the service and Al's omelette station was amazing. Great place and good food.

Food was very good and service. had reservations for 12 for brunch. as of 1245 more then half of the dessert table was gone and was told they had no more to put out. very disappointed as you pay money for a buffet not to have enough for a paying party. also they took all food away at 130 when buffet goes until 2pm . was not a good experience

Great location, great ambiance and great food! Wallingford is such a quaint little town with amazing little shops and restaurants, the Library fits right in.

We love the library and the food! This was the first time we were seated in the back room and we were a bit disappointed. It was so loud we had to yell to hear one another and it was a bit disappointing.

The food and service was excellent. Two people had steaks and said they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Brussels sprouts were amazing. Highly recommend and we will be back

Food was good, as was service. Dining room was very noisy and then they started blasting loud music.

Delightful place - beautiful stained glass windows. Wonderful history. Excellent food. Service very good

Service was friendly aside from the hostess, who was slightly abrupt, but we could chalk that up to the restaurant being busy. Charcuterie board was over flowing and more than enough for an appetizer for a party of 3. Everyone enjoyed their meals - the duck and scallops. Loved the setting in the old library!

We had a great round table for a table of 6, set somewhat back, which was very helpful with the noise level. The staff was excellent. We usually thoroughly enjoy our meals here. This last time fell a bit below par. The special Waygu strip au poivre was overcooked for all 3 orders, way past medium (ordered medium rare). The sauce was delicious though. The salmon was also overcooked and the entire dish was very dry. Very disappointing. My filet, however, was delicious & the correct temp. Otherwise we had a lovely evening.

Our overall experience was ok. Upon arrival, we asked the hostess if we could be seated upstairs. At first, we thought she may not have heard us, but my friend noticed a slight smile that gave the impression she preferred not to check for availability. Our server, Hannah, was very kind and attentive when present, but the service itself was quite slow. We waited a considerable amount of time for our check and for payment to be processed. Additionally, the party seated next to us was extremely loud and disruptive. While that is, of course, beyond the restaurant's control, it did impact our dining experience. The food, however, was excellent, and that's what may bring us back in the future.

Lovely restaurant, delicious food (the short rib was to die for, the burrata salad was wonderful and my bees knees cocktail was perfect,) unique atmosphere, great service. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

This was our first time here. Everything was great! Our entire group enjoyed the Sunday Brunch! We will be back!

The Library has become our go-to place to meet friends from the Hartford area and it has been consistent in providing very good food with excellent service.

I was very impressed with the library. We got the pulpo for appetizer. It was so good. The pear salad was amazing. I got the chicken which was so tender and delicious. My husband got the ribeye. Both cooked perfectly. No room for dessert. Portions for entrees was great. Will be back for sure

Opentable Diner

Been here a few times. Cool place, solid food. Will definitely go back. The convenience of its proximity to the Toyota Oakdale theater is fantastic.
