Service was slow. Appetizers arrived before our cocktails. Food was tasty, contained a lot of different starches. i.e. duck breast was served with Sweet Potato purée Squash Carrots

My daughter and I shared the steak crostini and the lobster pappardelle. Both portions were quite ample for sharing. The steak was cooked to perfection with amazing flavors in the sauces. The pasta dish was delicious. I had the dessert, special, honey, Barry, bread pudding, and it was amazing. my daughter had Keylime pie and she loved it. We brought half of each one home.

Great restaurant. We had the duck and waffles appetizer as well as the meatballs. Both were outstanding. We had the short rib and crab cakes. Both were very good. The lava cake for dessert was excellent.

Beautiful restaurant and great ambiance. Unfortunately meal was not as delicious as in previous visits. Cheese board appetizer was not well balanced; would have liked more cheese and salmon dish was a bit too salty. Both were beautifully plated though taste counts.

Our group of eight ranged in age from 8 to 101, and we were all happy with our experience The Library. I had the duck breast and ordered it medium-rare; it came medium rare with vegetables that had not been burned, and tasted fine. The server was polite, friendly, with an eye for details. Also patient with people cursed with hearing difficulties. The noise level is well under control. It is far from cheap, but very good value for the money you spend. Just one suggestion: If any in your party have trouble walking, drop them off. There is plenty of parking available, but some of it is moderately distant. Overall, it was the best fine dining experience that I have had for a very long time -- much better than the most recent one, in Arizona, where the best part of the dish was the mashed potatoes and cost 1/3 more.

We went there for Valentine's Day and the place was not busy at all so we expected great service. There was one long stem red rose at the table for any female diners, which was a nice touch. Which is still alive. We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and the historical look of the place but that is where it pretty much ended. We were never offered bread when we sat down I had to finally ask for it when our food came 30 minutes later. It took forever to get my drink and again it was not busy when we were there. When our food finally came my wife had the Zuppa de Pesce and the calamari was rubbery and the sauce tasted liked it came out of a jar. I had the duck and was not impressed it was bland and I expected more of the black cherry glaze instead of what seemed like a teaspoon's worth on it. The best part of the dish was the sweet potato mash, and I am not a fan of sweet potatoes. Again for this being a slow crowd for Valentine's Day we were expecting a better experience. We had high hopes for The Library but unfortunately we will not be back.

We were seated at a top heavy table in a room that was just sooooo noisy. They should consider adding some noise reducing tiles or “art” to help keep it from getting so crazy loud in the small space. Otherwise it was very lovely and the meal was great!

Beautiful restaurant, but it was very loud and they had a singer in the bar that made it impossible to carry on a conversation at our table. Food and service were excellent, but it was a tad pricey.

We sat at a high top in the bar and there was a lovely singer next to us. The sound was very loud in the bar in general. I found myself leaning in to hear our friends' conversation. The service was friendly and good. The food was incredible! I had the ribeye! Perfection! I've been here before and will be back!

What a delicious dinner we had. Food was reasonably priced, considering the generous portion and outstanding quality. Will definitely be back, this is our go to restaurant in Wallingford.

we had the loaded nachos for an app and they were so different. with homemade kettle chips and bacon, they were fantastic. For dinner we had the seared scallops (incredible) and the filet mignon which was perfection. Just a great overall experience. make sure to try the PB & J Old fashioned...wow

We will be back! This was our first time coming here (and for my husbands 50th birthday). The food was amazing, great atmosphere, service. We look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

This is a great restaurant. Our wedding party was held there 9 years ago, and it is still pleasantly fun to go to for a nice dinner. The waitress was great and the food very very good. Somehow they have managed to stay moderately priced. We would recommend to anyone.

Johnny, our server was very attentive, providing excellent service. Our table was in a back room which looked like it was an afterthought and had no ambiance. Beef carpaccio was excellent as well as the Bisson Osso bucco. Seafood cappellini was just ok. Cocktails were prompt and excellent.

Staff was very friendly, our waitress was fantastic & my meal & drinks were amaze! The vegan cauliflower steak, roasted eggplant over jasmine rice w/chickpea coconut curry & pineapple chutney was delish! So glad they had vegan options!
