As far as Walmarts go, this one is really pretty good! I often do my grocery shopping here, and find that the shelves are generally pretty well stocked (compared to other Walmart stores that I've been to). I've also found the employees fairly helpful and pleasant. I've noticed recently that an employee is stationed at every entrance/exit checking receipts, which I find a little annoying. Overall I find the store to be clean and I can pretty much get everything I need in one trip.

What I like about Walmart is they have a huge selection of merchandise, and whatever I buy is cheaper than other stores I would shop at. Their return policies are great, and I never had a problem with my returns. Being a Supercenter they are also a grocery store where you can always find bargains. I have also done online shopping at Walmart with no issues. It's basically one stop shopping with huge savings.

Compared to NYC, this Walmart is heaven sent. It's not too crowded and I can shop peacefully. But, one star off because the shelves could be stocked more frequently.

The only thing good I have to say about this store is that the shelves have product on them where other Walmarts in the area dont. That said there isn't much else that this place offers. The employees are a miserable bunch. The greeters at the front are scary. They never smile, and act as though they could care less about your business. The pickers that roam the floors are only there to get in the way of shoppers and rude doesn't even begin to describe them. No pride in workmanship and workwomanship. What an operation.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!! The Wallingford Walmart is an absolute ZOO! The current manager is a MORON and there are always items missing when we get delivery! On top of it they never answer the phone, and the ONE time they did I was transfered 7 times and put on hold for over 30 minutes until I was eventually hung up on!! Good luck if you need to speak with someone with more then one brain cell!!
The past few times I ordered Walmart Delivery from this store I never even received the delivery. They don't answer the phone most of the time in that department and when they did answer once I asked them where my delivery was. They hung up on me. My order was 4 hours late at that point. Tonight, my order never showed up again. They should call customers to let them know when there is a problem but they have zero communication. They just blow off the deliveries.

I am not the type to ever write reviews, but this is worst Walmart in the US. I wish there was something below the one star. Customer service was not helpful at all and very rude!!!! I placed an order online for pick up. I received the conformation for the item that I paid for. The online order that was that I placed would be ready for pick up the same day but DONT come to the store until I receive an email stating its ready for pick up. The problem is, they never sent the email. When I called customer service, I was on hold for 2 hours before someone answered and hung up the phone. And I know they heard me on the line saying hello. When I called back, no one answered the phone. I then went to the store to try to find the item. The the customer service people I spoke to said, there was nothing they can do, and they do not know where the item that I PAID for was. When I asked if they can track it down and give me what I PAID for. There response was they have nothing to do with online orders. Even though I was supposed to pick up the item from this location. With the rude customer service and them not being able to locate online orders, I'M DONE WITH WALMART!!!! I will be writing more reviews and contacting the BBB.

Post from my brother in-law-- We had a very bad experience at the Wallingford Walmart. I'm not naming the family member due to embarrassment. This is a copy of the email sent to Walmart corporate office. We will no longer be shopping at Walmart. We wanted to complain about your Walmart in Wallingford Connecticut. A family member was in line and asked twice to please go in and use your bathroom and come back out because they were going to have an accident. The man was very rude. Our family member ended up pooping in their pants by accident in front of everyone in line. The man was laughing. They were also treating my wife like she was stupid and didn't understand English because she has dark skin. We will no longer shop at Walmart and will be posting in our social media accounts about this Walmart employees behavior. So you know who to discipline this happened may 22cnd around 11:09am. Anyone may share this post. It would be nice if it went viral. This is a very racist move and very unprofessional... this should not be taken lightly and I believe that drastic actions should be taken.. we say no to racism , equal treatment.. Walmart #walmart

Slow cashiers, long lines, barely any registers open. Very busy location. Hard to find help in departments. Either shrugged off or get an attitude when requesting assistance for locked items.

I stopped by the Walmart in Wallingford a few weeks back while on my way to a friend's house where I was going to be spending the weekend; he needed a few things for the party and asked me to get them. Bad mistake stopping at THIS particular store... Parking is a nightmare: people who can't drive are trying to get into and out of parking spaces with NO consideration for anyone else. Inside, people are swarming all over the place, little children running around unsupervised, screeching at the top of their lungs .There's a porter with long hair standing around talking to some people while holding/ leaning on his broom instead of working. Meantime, there's a disabled couple looking at the ONE mart cart left (which the gentleman lets his wife have while he has to hobble alongside her), So I go on to the grocery section to get what I need, and several of the aisles have bare spots in them. So I figure I'll get them later after I touch down at my friend's place. But that's not the worst part. As I'm looking for paper towels, I see the couple again with the man trying to get a bag of cat food in the pet-food aisle, and the porter (same guy from up front) comes blazing through with the broom and almost runs them over!! The the porter starts giving the poor guy a hard time about "us employees are here to help you", and the gentleman is trying to get out of the porter's way (narrow aisle). His wife is getting upset by all of this, and I think they just cut their shopping trip short and paid for what they had because of this j**** I tried to find a manager, but after asking about one and getting a blank look, I had about enough and left without buying a thing. After I got to my friend's place, I told him about what happened, and he said that was "common" there, and says that "the porter likes to harass people he doesn't like" when I told him about the incident. Needless to say: after this, I'm not coming back to this store. It's an insane asylum with rude people, incompetent/ harassing employees, no stock, and a parking that requires you to risk your life.
