Guess It Was Fate
I've been wanting to go to G.W. Tavern for a good while and it certainly did not disappoint. The ambiance makes you feel like you are dining in the 1800's. Although I just had a burger it was huge and first rate. One of the best I've ever tasted. My girlfriend had the chicken pot pie which she couldn't finish so i had some and it was absolutely fabulous with top quality ingredients. I will definitely dine here again and I highly recommend G.W. Tavern.

Very disappointing. We were in a few days ago. Two "cod" sandwiches were paltry, and that's being kind. Not sure what the fish was, but it definitely was not cod. The chicken pot pie was barely ok, but at least it was edible. The "quesadillas" were horrible, and not really quesadillas at all.
All 4 of us have been here plenty of times over the years, but suffice it to say we won't be back.
I emailed GW before posting this, hoping to get any sort of response, but since none came, I posted here. I hope they clean up their act.
food was amazing, everything was homemade. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely will return.

I'm sure we just had a bad experience, but the restaurant allowed a non service dog on the outdoor patio, and it yapped the entire time, and no one said a word. If you go out to enjoy the peace and serenity of their property while enjoying a cocktail and app, you shouldn't have to deal with that.

I hosted my daughter’s 40th birthday at GW Tavern. Kris was incredibly attentive and she made this occasion truly special. The food, service, and ambience were excellent. We go to GW frequently and it is always a good experience with delicious food and friendly staff. I highly recommend GW Tavern.
