Marty’s Cafe is such a charming little spot, perfect for a casual meal in the heart of Washington. I ordered the chicken parm panini, and while the flavors were good, there wasn’t quite enough sauce, so the marinara got a little lost beneath the cheese, chicken, and bread. Even so, it was still a tasty lunch, and the beautiful weather made it even better — their outdoor tables are a lovely place to sit and relax.
Marty’s has a cozy, small-town vibe that fits perfectly with the character of Washington — a town that helped inspire the setting for Gilmore Girls. A few small tweaks to the sandwich, and this would have easily been a five-star experience.

Quaint little cafe with a selection of salads and sandwiches. I had the taco chicken salad which was tasty and my partner had the American grilled cheese. They have fresh lemonades and a case full of desserts too.
The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful.
Dog friendly!

We love Marty’s! Such a great local fave.
We stopped in here while in the area. You have to order at the counter and pay ahead. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich and coffee. I decided to keep it simple and said I'll have the same except with OJ. Two guys came to our table with 2 coffees and an OJ. I told them we ordered 1 coffee and 1 OJ. He was able to refund 1 coffee. However when he served the breakfast sandwich, there was only one. I looked at the receipt and she had only put one and it was American cheese instead of Swiss which was ordered. Rather than tell them there was another mixup, we decided to just share the sandwich. They need to hire a different person to take the orders.

Delicious food and coffee and even better service. We had a large party and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend this place!

There are too many other cafés and restaurants to spend your money at to tolerate poor service like this. No matter how cute the place is or how good the food might be, if the service falls short, I’ll choose somewhere else.

This is a great local cafe with delicious sandwiches and lunch treats. The menu is a step up from the 'usual' fare and the taste is there to back up the creative combinations. The curry chicken salad was savory and sweet. Just great! Thumbs up and recommended!

Saw bunch of cars and people eating outside so we stopped here on a whim. It ended up being the best lunch we've had in the area. Excellent paninis! And the vegetable chili was the best I've ever had!

Food and service is fine, atmosphere is meh, but coffee is horrible. Truly bad. Tastes like it’s been sitting a church coffee pot for hours.

They only want one type of customer very unwelcoming place you’re better off going somewhere else in town where they know how to treat customers it’s expensive and the food isn’t that good anyway
