Small local breakfast lunch place. Good menu selections and a lot of choices with cup of coffee. Very reasonable prices. Local customer focused service.

I visited the cafe for the first time today and was blown away by the quality of the coffee, pastries, and overall ambiance. The gentlemen working were both helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Everyone talks about visiting Washington Depot if you’re a fan of Gilmore Girls and are looking for your nostalgia fix. I don’t know much about that, but what I do know is that Marty’s is a “must stop” if you’re traveling through.
Marty’s is what every town dreams of having—a quintessential cafe to have great food, relax, and hang out with friends. It’s the perfect spot to sit for hours and soak in the sunlight.
I ordered a Short Iced Vanilla Latte and a Tomato and Mozzarella Quiche. While my latte was delectable, I didn’t love the quiche. To me, it tasted “eggy” and I wish the mozzarella and tomato continued through the quiche. I think with that and perhaps the addition of a crust, I would have liked the quiche better.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I think Marty’s has high quality food, I just think I ordered the wrong item for me.
In total, my order was about $18. I think the food might have been slightly overpriced, but I’m happy to visit Marty’s again for the experience.

Love this cafe! You can tell the love that goes into their food. Homemade and fresh to order. Pastries are delicious and low-sugar, made with honey. Nice variety. Dog-friendly, indoor and outdoor seating.

We were visit out of state for 2 nights and because we loved our first breakfast there so much we decided to go again the morning before we left. The breakfast burrito was so good and my apple caramel iced latte was hands down the best tasting one I've ever had. It's the first time I actually was able to taste a real apple flavor. Wow.

I was there this past Sunday for lunch. As I was ordering, I overheard the server (dressed as some kind of colonial butter churner?) talking about the customers to another staff member. She was speaking with utter disgust in a profanity-laced tirade. Her hostility was so extreme, and the things she was saying were so unprofessional and offensive, I wanted to leave. But I had already ordered so I joined my friends and watched with horror as she continued to insult people she perceived to be tourists or speak under her breath (but audibly) about how much she hated them. The fact that she wasn't fired on the spot for speaking about the hard-working people paying for food there was enough to rate this place a ZERO. It's too bad because this place was cute.

Customer service is really bad. They take too long to attend you. Waiting 30 minutes and then said to us that chicken is closed
Marty’s Cafe is such a charming little spot, perfect for a casual meal in the heart of Washington. I ordered the chicken parm panini, and while the flavors were good, there wasn’t quite enough sauce, so the marinara got a little lost beneath the cheese, chicken, and bread. Even so, it was still a tasty lunch, and the beautiful weather made it even better — their outdoor tables are a lovely place to sit and relax.
Marty’s has a cozy, small-town vibe that fits perfectly with the character of Washington — a town that helped inspire the setting for Gilmore Girls. A few small tweaks to the sandwich, and this would have easily been a five-star experience.
