Friends who live in Wethersfield recommended this little gem. Bought a pan of eggplant parm for Christmas family gathering- sooo delicious! Eggplant slices thin and not a lot of breading. Sauce is delicious also. Will go here often for fresh, home made Italian food from now on! Carmela and her staff are very helpful too!

We had an early Christmas with my out-of-state relatives this past weekend. The hostess was preparing a ham and asked me to bring a vegetarian dish because we had a few vegetarians in the crowd. I chose to bring a vegetarian lasagna from Carmela's. Well, the lasagna ended up being the star of the show! It was really, really delicious, and every one of us enjoyed it! This lasagna will now be my go-to, whether I'm hosting or bringing a dish to someone's house! This is true homemade cooking at a very reasonable price point. I highly recommend Carmela's Pasta Shop for all of your pasta needs!

I just recently found out about Carmela’s pasta shop. Each time I have gone, I have been greeted by Carmela. You always feel very welcome when you enter her store. Her ravioli’s, homemade pastas, meatballs, sauce, stuffed bread and cannoli’s are amazing. My family loves her food and that makes me happy.

Carmela’s is the closest I’ve ever gotten to my Italian grandma’s cooking—and that’s saying a lot. The meatballs, marinara, bolognese, soups, broccoli rabe, and homemade pastas (especially the meat tortellini) are absolutely incredible. Everything is packed with flavor and clearly made with love. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stock up. It’s a hidden gem and a true taste of Italy!!!
