The penne was on point for real, calamari could have been cooked just a little longer for that crispy taste but I'll be back.

I haven't been there for probably twenty years. My ex wife's grandmother would take us there. I decided to bring my almost adult children there. A very old school restaurant. You get the choice of soup af the day or salad. I was a little apprehensive ordering the chicken marsala. Many times I have let down eating it without the marsala flavor. I know how to cook. The wine has to be reduced by 3/4 to get the taste. I asked the waiter if they did indeed reduce it. He told me yes. I wasn't disappointed with my selection. My son ordered a New York strip. Me was satisfied. I was happy to see his hony mustard was only used for his fries. My daughter ordered something Italian. Not sure what it was, but it was like 3 servings. A restaurant that has been in business for many years. This tells me that they are doing something right, as with our dinner.

Their banquet room was a great location for my mother's 80th birthday party. It had dedicated restrooms and held 50 people comfortably. The reasonably priced buffet meal consisted of wine, soda, coffee, vegetable, fruit, cheese, and crackers appetizer, rolls, mixed green salad with two dressings, mixed vegetables, rice, chicken marsala, vegetable lasagna, penne with vodka sauce, and shaved roast beef. The staff was friendly and attentive and all of the food was very good.

Wayyy over priced it says it says 10-20 dollars per person and we had to pay $210 for 4 people the waitress did nothing and she automatically got a $32.54 tip and we got only $25 plates and gratuity was 32.54 dollars with only 4 people this is ridiculous I will never go there again and hope you do the same

Love going here for Holliday buffets! My favorites for Easter were the baked chicken, salmon, green beans, and lamb. Also have delicious desserts with carrot cake, chocolate cake, pudding and cookies.

I ordered 2 classic hamburgers for take out. They were ordered medium rare, pink in the middle and juicy. When I got home $32 later and bit into my burger it was dry as toast and well done. If I was eating in at the restaurant I would have refused it. The other burger was just as bad. Will never take out at this restaurant again.

This is an update to my review of a few days ago. Found myself with another good sized group (18 people) at this restaurant. This time the server was absolutely excellent, remembered everybody's order and all of us were served pretty quickly. (There was no on else in the restaurant at the time.) The food was really good - scallops cooked perfectly, mixed vegetables not over nor undercooked and seasoned well. A little glitch, we asked to have the scallops with the lemon pan sauce on linguini instead of rice - but the pasta came separately with red sauce. The waiter realized it and asked if we wanted it changed, but he was so friendly we said it was OK as it was. One other little problem - common now in most reataurants - the butter packets are almost immpossible to open. I rated the atmosphere at two stars because the bar room was too small for our group's size.
I would recommend this restaurant to a smaller group size and not at peak times.

Previous reiew:
We were a big group in a separate room. Had to go one by one to the buffet, squeezing by another customer who's seat was obstructing the doorway - dangerous for our elderly group - and for the woman sitting in the doorway. I was very surprised she didn't end up wearing someone's lunch. The food was nothing special, and they ran out of many things. Buffet was not adequately staffed, big hold up at the omelet station, and the meat carving station.. one server for both. Service in the banquet room was very slow. One server only was not enough. Coffee came way after the desert and cream for the coffee didn't come until the coffee was cold. Would not recommend this restaurant.

My family held a banquet luncheon here for a funeral today. If I could give 0 stars for the service, I would. We had the room from 12:00-4 pm. It was a small gathering, 4 tables total in the room. Everyone found a seat when we arrived and because there were a few empty chairs at two of the other tables, The server told 4 of us at one table (including my disabled brother) that we needed to move because they were “closing down” that table because there were seats elsewhere. This was not in the main restaurant, this was in the banquet room that we had a private party in. We should not have been restricted from sitting anywhere in that room. The service was terrible, at best. The servers were unfriendly and in a huge rush. As I said, we had the room from 12 PM to 4 PM and they were running around clearing our plates as we were taking the last bite. By 1:15 PM they had packed up all of the food from the chafing pans and were rushing us out the door by 1:45 pm. The food was pretty good, but the service was worse than terrible. I would not host another gathering here and I would not recommend Elaine‘s for a gathering to anyone else.
