Hey, its time for a Honest Review!! While taking a stroll past this cafe, my friend (who is black) decided to pop in and ask for a napkin. He was told that he would need to pay for the napkin if he was not a customer. When my friend left the cafe, the bartender closed the main door, which was open before we got there. I will let my friend leave his review with more details. However, I would just like to add that this experience was very disappointing and disturbing. The cafe was filled with all white customers. It felt very eerie and uncomfortable. I will not look at Old Wethersfield the same anymore because this experience was not welcoming. Old Town Cafe, the floor is yours......

Brunette bartender was screaming at some girl who went in to use the restroom. The girl was clearly shaken and was apologetic. We opened the door heard the experience and our entire party turned around and walked right back out. What a way to be greeted! Scary.

African American woman arrived and everything was good. Customer in concern greeted me, no problem. Hours went by customer asked my name and I gave it for the second time. Minutes later he decided he wanted to address me as “Sha nay nay”. Very disrespectful. I address this to the bartender and it was dismiss. African American people DO NOT GO THERE!!
