Update - decided to try again. Big mistake. This pizza is garbage. Frank Pepe's is better. Or Dominoes. Or an Aldi take and bake. All better options.

Ordered a pizza online. Made a mistake, called to change it. Nice lady on the phone said it was no problem.

Went to the store 10 minutes prior to pick up time. Currently 24 minutes past the time the order was slated to be ready, and I'm still waiting.

I was handed a coupon for a free medium pizza for next time, but at this rate, I won't be back for a while.

Also, they're not busy, so there's that...

The food was good, but I prefer a thicker crust on my pizza. The sauce was excellent and the staff was efficient and pleasant.

Huuummmm I was disappointed in the pizza I got 🥺🥺🥺 for nearly thirty bucks, it should have been stupendous....what a bummer....It was a very flat, very little basil. Or..basil oil, red sauce and very little white cheese...the sauce was like out of a jar....it was not great....I ate a few slices but....very lLittle basil..or the Basil oil.....hardly any cheese.....not sure I would return🤔🤔...much..Too expensive for what I received.....the salad was OK.....

Now been to the original in New Haven and this satellite in Whethersfield. The original was a little better with the pies, but I could do without the waiting and the small area in New Haven. Worth it to go to Whethersfield for the better experience.

Unfortunately had a bad experience on the last visit. Very disappointed because I came with family from Florida looking forward to having New Haven New York style pizza. The eggplant dishes and pizza wasnt cooked thoroughly. Major flop on the Pizza due to too much cheese and not left in the oven long enough. Very upsetting for a famous place and again people coming from other parts of the country looking forward to having their Pizza. Garlic bread and brussel sprouts remain the best I've ever had.

Pizza was great but we didn’t have to wait the FULL 40-50 minutes the online app told us as an estimate, so when we went in about 10 minutes early hoping it would be done we ended up standing around waiting for quite a bit but it was worth it in the end for us central NY folks who don’t get a lot of New Haven style by us

The tomato sauce on the pizza is epic. Great arancini, too. The plain pasta for the kids was great, too; sounds simple, but lots of places screw it up, and this place doesn't. The kids loved everything.

Haven’t made it to Sally’s in New Haven but was able to come by this newer location. The aroma when you walk in the door is intoxicating. I was so very excited to try this famous pie.
Unfortunately came out incorrect. But it was still good. Half sausage peppers and onions and half cheese. The cheese only half was delish!!!!! Even though it had onions on it (this was the mistake). The other half with the toppings had a great flavor as well but since the crust was so thin and the peppers were roasted it became very soggy. Still world class flavor but I think maybe my expectations were too high. I’ll give it another shot next time I’m in the area. Sorry for the bite taken out. I forgot to take a pic before chomping away.

Food was phenomenal. The server (older woman) was polite but she made us feel rushed. There for my friends birthday, the server didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink before asking if we were ready to order. I had to tell her we wanted cocktails before ordering. It wasn't all that busy either. Other than that it was great.

Kasha was our server and she was excellent! There were 4 in my party, everyone ordered a pizza and I ordered the Chicken Francaise. The pizzas were served first and everyone was almost done by the time my plate came out. It was delicious but awkward because everyone wanted to be polite and wait for my entree to come out but I insisted they have their pizza while it was hot. The other issue was the noise level. It was very loud and you had to shout to be heard, so if you're looking to have a meaningful conversation, this is not the place. However, if you're looking for great food and service, I highly recommend!

Slow is not the word. Waited 1hr and 10 min for pizza! 20 min for beer. Looks like the kitchen can't handle the dining room and takeout on a Friday evening. Thankfully there are many other good pizza options in the area.

Big New Haven apizza guy. The pizzas were excellent. Had a pepperoni for one of the pizzas and there was less pepperoni on it than I would expect. It seems to me that the pizzas from Sally's have changed since Sally's started franchising. Sally's and Pepe's used to be almost identical, Modern had thinner crust. Now the pizza at Sally's is more like Modern, thinner crust. The large pizza has gotten smaller at Sally's and you can't get medium pizzas anymore, only small and large. They have Foxon soda but not in the 1 liter bottle size.

Always wonderful pizza and staff is phenomenal. We drive 45 minutes because it is so worth the drive.
