As a long-term resident of Willimantic Tony's pizza is a legend that is unrivaled. Pepperoni pizza extra crispy has those amazing pepperoni cups with just the right amount of toast on them that they snap and crunch in your mouth. The grinders (aka subs, hoagies, sammies) are a gift from the gods. whether it's eggplant, sausage and peppers or the unrivaled bacon cheese burger grinder the flavor and deliciousness is right.

I first ate at Tony's in October 1974. We lived just down the street at 51 Ash Street. I was a Uconn student who lived off-campus. A small cheese and onion pizza was $2 then. Since school I seldom make it to Willimantic. However, when I do I always try to have a meal at Tony's. Today was the first time in at least three years. I had the gluten-free vegetarian (pizza) special. My wife had the small "meat" (pizza) special. Both were fantastic. I know, pizza seems like a generic and predictable food. However, Tony's pizzas are simply superb. Rich, flavorful, just the right balance of cheese, sauce, and toppings. There is nothing like this where I live. This place is a gem. Oh, and the gluten free crust was stunning - best gluten free bread I have ever had. Dining room is modest. However, the emphasis is on quality, not décor. Try it. You will not be disappointed. Founder "Tony" passed away from Covid-19 in 2020. He is missed, but I am grateful the family decided to keep going.

Tonys pizza is Willimantic. Been there for years and with good reason. There pizza is hearty and there are many choices. Pepperoni is my favorite. Can be a little greasy at times but still very good. Subs are good and the cheeseburger plate is very good and filling. Wings are tasty and very good standard wings but great bar food

The eggplant grinder, which I got, was delectable. Tender, moist, with extra sauce, peppers and onions, and a nice hot and crispy grinder roll, is pure eating pleasure. Good salads, great house dressing. Good meatballs on the spaghetti, but the pasta is troppo morbido - too overdone. Really pleasant woman taking orders - she couldn't have been nicer. Looking forward to getting a pizza here next time.

Ordered here once and never again. Ordered delivery and the guy got lost, went on all our neighbors doors but ours, stated he tried to knock on my door but he never did, also said that he call which was also not true AND he made his way back to the restaurant. 1 hour 30 minutes after I called to check where he was he brought me the same COLD GREASY PIZZA! (And sure enough didn't got lost this time) I called the owner and requested a refund, got stomach sick and had a really bad experience.
