Restaurant has warm feel and looks nice. Food is better than average Italian. But all that is ruined by their cash only. Sure as heck would be nice if there was any mention of the cash/check only policy when you arrive, seriously it's 2019 who doesn't take credit cards and who walks around with their checkbook. How can you possibly run a nice place then expect to surprise your guest with "oh, sorry. No credit cards accepted, but hey we have a ATM over here....." Last time I go there. Maybe you could splurge $20 bucks and sign up for Square......

Sat at the bar on a Friday evening for a date. Mom with kid under 10 walked in and sits herself at the bar and bartender proceeds to serve them. No questions asked. No consideration for other clients. We lead just ordered our drinks and were about to order dinner. We left $20 on the counter and left. Bartender offered to move family but it was too late. It wouldn't have been comfortable for anybody. We've also had several occasions where they decide to closedown early because restaurant is empty. Not really caring for the few customers sitting at the bar. Inconsistent service.

Consistently good and fresh food, served hot with very good service. Tony the owner is very friendly and remembers everyone. Best thing is the consistency. It never disappoints. Very reasonable prices for Fairfield County

Really nice people & space, but seriously - an entree with only 2 shrimp & 2 scallops ($26) - I'm still starving! Guess I need to get a pizza too. :)

We live in Wilton and grew up at Portofino's- every single weekend, usually twice a week, but only have visited once since the fire about 4 years ago. It's gotten better since we quit going after our first and only horrible experience after they reopened. The 10 ounce filet was terrific. Why 3 stars? The service is horrible. My wife's swordfish was so dry she said she doesn't want to go back. They served a salad before the steak with really no dressing on it so I just left it as there was no server to be found. Called over random severs to ask to order, for salt, pepper, olive oil, butter, wine, my check. Service is so bad! Food seems random. Unfortunately, management is still pricing a glass of wine at the same price as a full bottle of the same basic wine at a liquor store. At least be creative and find a great cheap wine where no one knows the market price for it. $14 for a glass of $12.99 per bottle Simi Chardonnay? Crazy.

No credit or debit cards accepted. Which is NOT prominently displayed on their website. Decent basic Italian food. Calamari, chicken parm, pasta, pizza. They also have sandwiches and hamburgers. Mains from around $20. Sandwiches etc in the low teens. Extensive beer and wines with reds over $110 (did I say cash only). And a decent selection for vegetarians as well.

New to the area but have already had 2 great meals there. Great atmosphere and great food. The waiter's manner was Dixon and the service was great and he was very friendly and attentive.

Great spot - food & service has always been good. (we have been going here for years.) Take out Pizza is great and has saved the day a few times in our house. Only negative is they are cash only - they don't take debit or credit cards. (they do have a ATM on site if you forget)

Food is excellent and I highly recommend it, but...ATM or not, it is NOT "prominently displayed" on the website that this place is cash only. I just saw it here, on Google reviews, after fully reviewing the website again. Did we have the $200 cash, and have checks on us-yes; but, as out of town visitors, I'm sure we would be the exception. So, put it on your website now, "prominently displayed", as you claimed for others to hear.

Food and wine list are great. Service slow. Take no plastic.

The food is good but not exceptional. Wait staff is good. Atmosphere is rustic, but noisy. In today's electronic age, requiring cash or check is unacceptable. I haven't carried a checkbook in 5 years!!! Unbelievable. Thus 2 stars.

This is probably my favorite Italian restaurant in the area. I've had most of their pasta dishes and they are all excellent. I had the pesto gnocchi with chicken special last weekend and it was so good! I also recommend the Capellini Piemontese and Parpadelle with veal ragu - so delicious!

Great pizza. Much better than wilton pizza, johns best or any other local places. Wish they took credit card! Come on, get with the times. Wish the takeout side area was more clearly marked.

Italian restaurant with some of the best pizza in Connecticut! Nice bar area with ample seating both at the bar and in booths. The food is consistently good, and is complimented by good service. Large dining room with outside dining in good weather. The specials are always good. This is a cash only establishment, but they have an ATM on site.

Arrived yesterday for happy hour to find they only gave $10 oysters+drink Monday through Thursday however their website says Sunday through Friday (guess what..yesterday was Friday). This was only the first let down of the evening by aggressive pony tail man. The food was acceptable and by that I mean edible. Veal saltimbocca was covered in a sauce that tasted like it came out of a pre made packet. My Pinot Grigio was also too sweet so I'm sure they poured me the wrong wine or whatever was open thinking I couldn't tell. Pizza sauce was not fresh and crust also tasted like it came out of a frozen box and popped in the oven. We skipped dessert knowing it wouldn't be worth it and grabbed ice cream down the road home. Obviously will not return..
