After a year in the Bradley Bowl parking lot, Millsie's has taken their truck of hot dog goodness a few hundred feet to the North, into an empty lot between the Days Inn and Bradley Bowl. How can you not like Millsie's? Simple dogs, kielbasa, sausage, a bag of chips, and homemade toppings. That's the menu. This week I had a kielbasa and a bottle of ice cold water for $6. The kielbasa was great- really nice flavor and snap, served split for the wonderful red onion relish I added. Most folks were chowing down in their cars, but I took advantage of the two picnic tables in the lot and relaxed. What a nice way to bring on the Summer!

Hot Dog truck. Been going to this guy for a long time at his different locations. Great food, very nice people. The hot dogs are awesome and on Thursdays he offers sweet sausage. I got the sweet sausage with grilled onions and cheese, so good. If you are in the area of Rt 75 in Windsor Locks I recommend you stop by.

Joint # 80: MILLSIE'S BITE THE DOG, Windsor Locks, CT. BITE the DOG aka Millsie's Hot Dogs has been serving 'em up right since 2003. That is 12 years of hot dog greatness folks! Yes, Ron and Erin, both owners and chefs, decided to try something new after their artistic talents weren't paying the bills. We are thankful they chose hot dogs as their new passion!! Erin makes the chili from scratch as well as a sweet/spicy onion relish (red sauce). Both are delicious and highly recommended! RATING(S):... J. Diggity Dog: 9.5/10, Dog Man Sac: 9.5/10 J. Diggity said, "It was a Mucke's natural casing. I want to say it was a 10 inch. I don't know if it was 4/1 or what the heck it would be, but it was a big, meaty dog. Chili... was great, not as much spice as I would have liked, but it had awesome flavor. All together, this dog had a lot of snap to it. It was a beef and pork Mucke's. I got to say this is one of the better dogs I've had. I got to go with a 9 and a half here. Also try their relish which was a 'secret recipe' - that was also delicious too. That added a little more spice. If you want to add that, I would definitely check that out. So come check out Millsie's where sometimes the dog bites ya, but you got to come here to bite the dog!" Dog Man said, "Get down here because it's awesome. I'm going to start off by saying,... 'perfect hot dog.' Steamed Mucke's, natural casing, then put on the griddle, finished it off, toasted brown. Oh my God, the snap in this dog is unbelievable. It's a ripper (makes a crunch motion with hand/mouth). It's one of those, ya know?...and then, the chili is just fantastic!...meaty, flavorful, some spice. Could have turned up the spice a hair. Going into the onion, great. Nice job with the mustard. The bun...bun was a steamed bun. I don't know that it could hold the integrity of all the toppings with the dog, but it was fresh tasting and it was still good. I am a Dog Man Sac 9.5 for Millsie's Bite the Dog. This place is worth it. They also make as John told you, an onion sauce (onion relish - the red stuff: our secret recipe, a little sweet, a little spicy), red onion sauce. That's what we had (on half). It is delicious and had some great spice in it that she would not reveal. Anyway, come down here - Millsie's Bite the Dog!" - The Dawg Tour

They serve Muckie hot dogs. They are one of my favorite places in CT. I can not decide if I prefer the dog with their red onion sauce or their near sauce. Their Cajon sausage with onions and peppers are very good also. This is a food truck. They keep there menu simple but execute to perfection.
