The Gathering Ground Restaurant

Unfortunately, it seems due to staffing, this diner has gone downhill. I went with my son for an early breakfast before school. His hot chocolate was fine, food came pretty quick. He had a breakfast sandwich, I had French toast with a side of bacon and home fries that I got with onion. First off, my bacon was ICE cold. Completely cold. Not a hint of warmth. French toast was barely that, the batter didn’t even get a chance to soak through the very outside of the bread. It was just bread with an eggy essence. Potatoes were cooked but didn’t look it, onions pretty much raw. The worst offense though was the roll for my son’s sandwich had mold on it. Really unfortunate. Price was good…

Terrible service. Horrible food. They didn't come to put more coffee, I asked half and half they didn't bring it. Very rude attendant. Terrible experience. I just needed to get into the kitchen to make my own meal. I waited 20 minutes at the table waiting for someone to came. NEVER GO BACK THERE.

Reasonably good food but extremely slow service. A little bit grumpy staff. If you are time constrained then this is not your place.

I originally went to Center Perk on main Street. I would not recommend this place. But The Gathering is Awesome. Food was great, (nothing burnt), my omelet was packed with veggies. My daughter got a pancake which was amazing. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

The food was really good, better than skooters, actually. Even the prices were better then skooters. The omelet was actually fluffy and big with home fries. Even the simple toast tasted good, too, as well. The interior of the place is nice and clean, I enjoyed the atmosphere inside. Overall, the experience was good. My waiter was nice. Service was a little weird it was really slow at first, but then really fast at the end. I didn't even wait that long for food, it came out super quick. I remember coming here many years ago and had a positive experience too as well.

They have a hometown diner feel with friendly serviceI'll be coming back for the biscuits and gravy but today I tried the corned beef hash and eggs.It's really nice to find a place that makes hash in house. Not just from can. ?

I just recently retired from the usps after 38years,and my co-workers wanted to have a get together on my behalf. Well, i suggested having it catered by Tommy Kupec from the Gathering Ground. Well Tommy did an awesome job catering this party. The food was on time ,hot, and very very good. And more than enough. Everyone was quite happy and impressed with everything. Great job Tommy. I highly recommend using Tom from Gathering Ground for your catering needs because i sure will. And don’t forget the restaurant,which is just as good.

Stopped for breakfast before a flight. Service was great and food was fast out of the kitchen. Small town diner feel with many locals in and out.I judge every breakfast spot on three things: coffee(7.3), home fries (6.1) and pancakes(6.0). Coffee was as expected, but fresh. Potatoes were grilled and seasoned but needed a lot more cook time. Pancake was cooked dark on one side and barely on the other making it rubbery.Overall we were satisfied with our food and will definitely stop again before a flight out of BDL

So being new to this establishment I will say it’s soooooo good! Had the Ruben, dynamite , when the sandwich like this is as messy as this you know it’s going to be excellent. Next I had the burger, OMG, huge and ?. Then lastly, the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich, again huuuge! Great job to the staff and keep it up as I will be coming again and again, thank you ?

Was very disappointed with the food. I asked the waitress if they could make me a "cornbread hash benedict" which was not on the menu. What I was served was an egg omelet over hash. With toast on the side and very undercooked homefries that had no flavor. Will not be going back, when there are so many better options in the area for breakfast.
