The woman with glasses that asked us what meat we wanted was rude. Extremely rude and visibly had an attitude. It was our first time here, so we were confused. Learn some patience if you want to be in the customer service field. We paid 42$ for 2 x 1 meat, 2 side combos and 2 drinks. It was cold. The only saving grace of this place was the sweet older lady who rang us out.
Very nice people and very accommodating to my taste in foods

Everytime I order via Uber eats I get the most disappointing food of my life. I keep trying but yall keep failing. Today I ordered 3 meals, two with extra bbq sauce and 1 with extra dressing (salad). Received no bbq sauce and no dressing,
Uber eats gave me a generous $5 refund for my $95 meal. Absolutely ridiculous. Will eat salad with no dressing and bbq with no sauce ? That’s acceptable to you for what $90??????? Insane.

Every time we are in the Hartford area, we make it a point to stop in for dinner and we are never disappointed. On this trip we enjoyed a full rack of ribs with corn and mac & cheese sides. The ribs were fantastic along with the side dishes. Was told by several members of the staff, who are super friendly and helpful, that if we like pork ribs, you need to come on the weekend when they cook up the beef ribs. Wish we could have been there to give them a try. For dessert we had the homemade ice cream, which we are told is made at the University of Connecticut by the agriculture students and it was delicious. The only thing we personally did not care for was the Hosmer Mountain soda selections, but that really comes down to personal tastes. And what is up with that huge Kansas City Chiefs flag in the window, this is New England Patriots turf, so the Chiefs must go – just saying. Other than this obvious transgression, this place is just perfect. Great food, servers with a friend and welcoming atmosphere and plenty of parking to boot.

Wanna feel like you’re in a video game? Order from the day shift. It felt like all I got was auto responses from everyone on the line. They didn’t listen to a single thing I said they just went through the motions.

This is darned good BBQ in Connecticut.
I've had the beef brisket, pork ribs, and "Texas" sausage on two occasions, and have been very happy with the meats. The BBQ beans are tasty. I enjoy their collards. The mac & cheese is pretty good -- creamy, cheesy, with noodles that are still a little firm.
The bar has a nice selection of beers on tap.

The BBQ is good, but it’s overpriced and the people working here aren’t enjoyable to be around. Would recommend just picking up if you’re ok paying for overpriced food. Had a sandwich and two small sides and it was $22. I’d pay max $15 for what I got.

2 meat 2 side combo and a drink was $28. Kind of overpriced for the portion in my opinion. The brisket was good, the pulled pork was decent at best. Mac and cheese was ok. Potato salad was good as well. Overall I was recommended this place by some locals but found it didn’t live up to the hype.
