My First time Today, was very excited to support, and I ordered Breakfast after noon time, sides only, Home fries were unrecognizable, never tasted any sauted Onion, Burnt, I'm so disappointed 😞 the atmosphere was pleasant, empty, but Customer Service was Pleasing. I did Takeout.

The service at Don's Kitcen is incredibly slow. Despite the restaurant being only half-full, staff seemed completely overwhelmed and disorganized. Waiters wandered aimlessly, orders were forgotten, and simple requests took an eternity to fulfill. The operation was a complete disaster. There was no clear system for seating guests, taking orders, or delivering food. Save your time and money. Until the management sorts out their operational issues, this place is not worth the frustration.

Today I tried to support Don’s Kitchen in Windsor (Price Rite Plaza). I ordered delivery at 10:16 a.m. through the Clover app and noticed they didn’t provide a tracking number. So, I decided to call the restaurant five times but no one answered. Cool, it’s Saturday, so I decided to just drive there and pick up the order myself. No big deal.
I arrived around 10:55 a.m., and when I walked in, I wasn’t greeted, even though there was someone sitting at the front booth. I told the lady I had ordered online, and she quickly responded that they never had a delivery option. I showed her my phone, where it clearly showed that delivery was available. She said she’d call her business partner, Jim, and mentioned that they were making my order. I told her I’d come back, and she said she would call me once my order was ready. I waited in my car until 12:00 p.m., then went back inside to check. Once again, I was met with a nasty attitude when I asked about my order. The lady said my order had been ready and sitting there for a while and that she’d called me. However, I had no missed calls. I even asked her to read back the number she supposedly called, but she didn’t. She had a notebook full of numbers, and mine clearly wasn’t there.
At that point, I asked for a refund. There was no apology, just more attitude. I really tried to support this business, but the entitlement and disrespect were unbelievable. All I have to say is, they need to do better. Customer service goes a long way, and my money is just as green as anyone else’s. In this economy, even big franchises are struggling, so what makes them think they’re invincible? The attitude and lack of accountability was so distasteful!

Really bad service … 2 out of 3 waitresses has really bad attitudes.. way to busy in their phones to put your order in right..I’ve been there 5 times and completely screwed up my order 4 times.. the waitress says everything except sorry … the owner was accommodating after the fact but nobody wants to deal with that type of bs when ur trying your hardest to support back businesses you know.. just really bad representation of the business in the front. The food isn’t bad but I never once got what I ordered and the waitress has all this attitude but NO pad to write anything down and then no answers or apologies when it goes bad.. the service is absolutely horrible.. no accountability.. no professionalism.. way to much attitude tho.
We came in at 10:00 the morning we sat the waitress took our order took them almost to make our food than the waitress w came ova to say they started to make our food now it 11:15 took the almost two hours to make our food

Was not impressed, they don't serve breakfast all day, and you pay $2.50 for a can of soda no onion rings, plastic plates and an obscenely large flat screen hanging in the eating area, also radio playing in background, and a very unattentive waitress. Maybe breakfast time is better.

first of all, delicious food. I went on a weekend and got their soul food special? FIRE. while I do wish the portions were a bit larger on the sides for $21? The flavor is great. It’s going to blow their competitors down the street, out the game. Because their problem is they’re overpriced, and the food is bland!! but THIS spot? i’ll be there every weekend. pls expand your soul menu!!! and a grits dish would be great… look forward to their success.

This is Grandma and Grandpa in the kitchen as their kids and grandkids walk through the door food. Now THIS is a place my children and I can get comfy and eat well. Looking forward to visiting again. 💐
