Amazing staff! Great vibes and setting.
Special thanks to Tameka for excellent service and making our experience even more memorable.
Service was fine stopped in for a quick bite place was mostly empty. Got short rib sandwich wasn't very flavorful and was mush...burger seemed pre-made and came out med rare when ordered med well...also got pretzel bites asked if we wanted cheese sauce...sure...$4 upcharge for maybe 2 Oz of cheese sauce....and fries were just over done and all bits no big fries seemed like the scraps from the day..
We recently had our wedding here on 4/24/26 and everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the staff went above and beyond to make our day so special and stress free. Every detail was handled with so much care, and our guests are still talking about how great everything was.
One thing we truly appreciated was how willing they were to work with our budget while still making everything feel perfect and high quality. They were so accommodating throughout the entire process, which made planning much less overwhelming.
We are so grateful to Michael and the entire team for making our wedding such a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding or special event. Even if you’re not hosting an event, definitely stop by and try their restaurant, the food and service are outstanding!
Located in scenic Woodbury..we celebrated daughters 40th Birthday and the event and the Servers were amazing! Above and beyond helpful.
We usually frequent the bar… I must say their small plates are absolutely incredible… easily the best wings I’ve ever had, pretzel wings shishito peppers, charcuterie board etc. I do not have feedback on their main plates but if their appetizers/small sandwich any indication…you know.
Had dinner there Saturday night. We arrived later than I prefer to order food. We ate at the bar in n the lower level. There was a blues band playing. They were amazing. We both ordered the Fillet mignon and Mac and cheese.mine was medium rare and hers was medium. The chef nailed it. I barely needed a knife the char was award winning. I used to frequent this place when it was the Curtis house and I would always get the lazy man’s lobster. It had been 30 years since I’ve been there. My saever/bartender Amanda was amazing. I asked her what she thought the key to the food being so on point was her reply - the kitchen has zero turnover- the owner treats them well and they love their jobs. Well it shows. If you like some live music eat here on Saturday if you like quiet dine upstairs. Take care, Ted
Very nice place ,the sandwiches were very tasty , everything nice n fresh,.
Wonderful historic and romantic inn with tavern and dining. Stephanie in the tavern was so nice and professional. Good addition to the team !
A charming, old New England tavern (we went only for dinner) with a pub-like ambience. The food was fine, but the menu was more limited than I would have liked. The best part was the espresso martini I had for dessert 😊.
I ate there they have the best drinks and hamburgers

What a great restaurant and inn. We have had a few meals here and it’s always amazing. Recently we sat at the bar and had lunch. 1754 is the best burger … something in the charr? . The service was top notch and very attentive. … oh and bye bye truffle fries … duck fat fries just trumped your existence!
We had our rehearsal dinner here in December and it was absolutely amazing. The room was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the team was so responsive and helpful throughout our planning process. The food was also amazing. We highly recommend and are so grateful for the memories made here that night!
Staying and dining at the Inn was a wonderful change from staying in a chain hotel for a business trip. The rooms were beautiful in their historic decor and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the music was a pleasant added bonus.
We had the pleasure of dining here for the first time this evening! WOW! How have we not tried this restaurant until now?!! Exceptional dining experience! Started with smoked wings and the shishito peppers, which were out of this world good! Fish and chips with fries done in duck fat, Mac n cheese with short rib was soooo good with the Gouda cheese! Julia was an amazing server! It is difficult to find even a good dining experience these days…we would rate this one as exceptional!
1754 House Restaurant is a must-visit. The food is outstanding—don’t miss the 1754 burger or the mac and cheese with pulled short ribs; both are absolutely delicious. The drink menu is equally impressive, with great options for both cocktail lovers and non-alcoholic drinkers. Service is first-rate. Our server, Tamika, was bright, knowledgeable and very attentive. Always smiling and provided close to the best service we’ve ever experienced. Finally, the ambiance ties it all together: festive, warm, and cozy upstairs, with a live band downstairs adding extra energy and making for a perfect nightcap. An all-around excellent dining experience.
