I am in from South Carolina and my friends brought me to John’s Cafe. Everything from start to finish was amazing! Signature cocktails, (They had a Pumpkin Russian cocktail that was amazing) appetizers, entrees , and desserts were all great! It is hard to be on point every course, however this restaurant delivered!! Would recommend!!

My husband gave me a surprise birthday party here tonight . The food was phenomenal . The waitress was awesome . She worked very hard to serve 27 people . She was very friendly and warm . Everyone enjoyed their meal and the desserts were so delicious . I always have a great meal when I dine here

Food and service lived up to hype. Eating upstairs totally takes away from the experience. The downstairs is fine dining while the upstairs is someplace you ditch the overflow crowd. If you go, and it is worth a visit for food and service, make sure you are downstairs.

We have always heard what a great place this is and have wanted to go. On my wife' birthday we went. I can say the food, my "Sunday Gravey Pasta" dish and my wife's salmon were excellent. The wait service lived up to the hype we had heard. However, the upstairs leaves much to desire by way of ambience. The downstairs looks like a very lovely place to enjoy fine food and great service. On the other hand the upstairs is very ordinary, sparse in fact. The alcove table we were seated at was drafty and cool. We both were glad we had worn sweaters. The open door to the service area is a big retraction. IF we go back we will be sure to only go if we can sit on the main floor. It is worth a visit but be sure to get a table on the main floor.

Pork chop entry was delicious! Soup appetizer tomato lentils was good but served lukewarm. Cheesecake was too dry, took home, but tossed.

Visiting from out of town, which is always ??? It was clean and quiet and provided excellent food and service. We would visit again if in the area.
The atmosphere is nice, but I called for a take out order, and ordered a sandwich and was very clear with what I wanted. They made a mistake, which they owned up to, that’s fine, people make mistakes I understand. But they still charged me and I had to wait an extra 15 minutes, which was an inconvenience to me and I was already on a schedule. So they made me late to what I had to do, still charged me, and didn’t do anything extra for that at all. If you cause someone to wait 15 extra minutes, good service would’ve been to compensate something, or send something extra over. I probably won’t be back, unfortunately.
