Found this place one day while driving to work, it is definitely one of those hidden gems in Connecticut. It is so nice if you looking for a nice quiet place to have lunch. I tried the truffle fries, which were absolutely delicious. As well as a side of mac n cheese, which wasn’t bad. Definitely would try something else next time I go. Our waitress was great, very attentive and so polite. She definitely went above and beyond.

I had gone to this establishment with my 11 year old and my boyfriend on Friday at 7pm. The parking lot looked packed! Once we entered into the restaurant, we were brought to our seat within minutes. The audio inside was pretty quiet, considering how many people were in the restaurant. The high ceilings, drapery, and different elevations in different rooms. I think, brought down the acoustics inside the establishment. The lighting was dim enough to be a friendly and comfortable feel. The waiter was very pleasant inattentive. I also had whispered to let him know that it was my son's birthday. They put a candle on our dessert. We definitely will be coming here again.

we had a party of 4 and were seated (with reservation) promptly. We were not rushed and had time to have a drink and conversation and then an appetizer. Dinners were served sporadically - 1 came out, then 2 minutes later another arrived at the table, 2 minutes later the 3rd dinner arrived. It was another 3-4 minutes before the 4th dinner arrived.

Best Ny Strip ever. I have had many Ny strip steaks at several steak restaurants and the one I had tonight was honestly the best ever. It was not the biggest but it was cooked perfectly and it was unbelievably tender. I very rarely compliment the chef but I have to say it was amazing! The service was very good and the atmosphere was just right.

Came here for an early dinner on a Sunday so it wasn't very busy. 5* for service as the waitress was quick and friendly. 4* for atmosphere, too dark and too the music was too loud. I can imagine the place when full would be difficult to have a conversation. 4* for food. I got the fish tacos and while the taste was solid, the piece of fish was almost as big as the tortilla. So some bites would just be straight fish.

The food is always consistently delicious and the wait staff very accommodating and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice night out as a couple, a family dinner or meeting place with friends.

ORIGIN: In 2012 Eli Hawli opened the first Market Place Kitchen & Bar in Danbury. Its success since led to an expanding network of replications in central western Connecticut. The Woodbury location was one of the early efforts to expand into what has come to be known as the Market Place Hospitality Group. LOCATION: The location of this restaurant appears to have been intentionally designed, rather than renovated, to reflect the "brand". Both interior and exterior are clad in what appears to be aged barn wood. This site has ample parking, and proximity to I-84 exits. CONCEPT: The restaurant is described as "modern American". Here you can find classic fare found in the region, but with a twist. The twist may be found in the thoughtful plating, ingredients, and/or interior design. FOOD: The Market Place Hospitality Group appears to have carefully studied what the community wants, and then provides it in a way that sets itself apart from those already established. This is not creative, innovative dishes, but rather familiar, elevated, and reliable takes. In this way, arranging a gathering of family and friends at Market Place Kitchen & Bar can easily become the "go to" destination, as crowd-pleasing options dominate the menu. ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere of the Woodbury location is especially charming, with separate dining, bar, and outdoor patio seating areas. There is even a waiting area with season-appropriate scented candles to greet incoming guests. While one of the benefits of having numerous Market Place Kitchen & Bars across the NW quadrant of the state is choosing based on proximity, the design of the Woodbury location makes it one of my favorites. SERVICE: Service is by and large attentive, without being intrusive.

Stopped here for a late lunch. Nice place -interior is open, airy, high ceilings, barnwood on the walls and beams on the ceiling giving a little bit of a cozy feeling. There was another room with a stone fireplace (though no fire lit at the time). Menu is varied - I had the ' shareable' short rib empanadas - came with 2 on a cool wooden platter. I was hungry, but not overly - very good and just enough for me. My husband had a buffalo chicken wrap sandwich with fries. He said it was quite good. Our server was nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant is a bit pricey. However, if I was in the area again, I'd go back & would recommend it to others.

Reliable place for either a family night out or a casual affair. Unlike the Newtown Market Place - which has one of the worse services in the state - the Woodbury one is highly recommended.

My wife had a Kobe burger, medium rare and it was very good and actually the 1st one (Kobe) she's ever had. I myself had The Sesame crusted Tuna with the ramen style noodles and it was Great. The service was Excellent as well. As it was a 5:30pm reservation so we apparently beat the crowd which was building up as we left.

Last minute decision to go out for dinner. Sat in the bar area and the restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent. Drink specials were very tasty and food tasted great as usual. Highly recommend the chicken nachos.

First of all, I come to the marketplace every time I’m in town and I visit with my brotherI was there a few nights ago and it was very disappointingFirst of all we had martinis, and they were subparI had a martini, and they used a cheap gin, didn’t sugar, the rim of the glass, used a lemon wedge as a garnish ?and the martini glasses, look like something you would get at Walmart for a family picnicCome on guys, you’re an upscale restaurant !The food…. ..although the chicken nachos were very good, and hot the ahi sushi roll, was cold and not very good, and it used to look like a regular sushi roll, but I guess now to save money they cut the portions in half and spread it around the plate, which also made the dish cold and rubberyI think it’s time to do some quality control, because at $75 plus tip for a couple of bad drinks and 2 appetizers is very disappointingDon’t know if I’ll be back
