I have been an infrequent customer for past two years. The name and food changed a year ago, same owner though. The food is small in portion. They claim scratch and local but bacon is clearly bottom of barrel. They only take cash which in today’s service world is not good. The food is very greasy and undercooked. The service is nice but there is preferential treatment of customers and a lack of execution of orders in the way they are received by the staff and kitchen. We sat down and watched tables who ordered after us get served. so the wait times with a full restaurant is extremely long considering it’s breakfast. I love to support small mom and pop businesses but with what’s their competition in the immediate area it’s tough to go back after our last experience

Great experience. The place was overwhelmed and they kept up, both in timing and quality. Will return.- Dr.

Most of the times I am having the best food at RK. I would go with 4.5 stars, but since when it is good it is a wow, 5 stars.

Lovely, warm ambiance with down to earth food. Welcoming staff with great service including a "greeter" who made us feel welcome with no school that day.

The corned beef Ruben was delicious. They cook their own corned beef and the bread was perfect. The sides of homemade macaroni salad, potato chips and pickles were excellent. I will definitely be back.

Best breakfast I've had in a very long time. Everything was taste-ful. Fresh ingredients, home-cooked grits, real butter (even THAT tasted good!) Portions were very generous. Sourdough toast was on point!

I will start by saying that 4 stars is being just a tiny bit generous. My meal was more like a 3.5. First - it's cash only so keep that in mind prior to stopping in. I went in alone - I was shopping in the area but not from town. Rachel's had pretty great reviews and I was really excited about it. Even though it was lunchtime - I decided on the Irish Benny. I looked at the menu for a while. There was nothing truly inspiring on it. I was tossing and turning trying to decide - I was a bit nervous ordering the hash because it didn't say 'homemade' on the menu. I finally asked and was sold on the Irish Benny when I found out the hash wasn't coming out of the can (not that I don't love that from time to time). It was served with a rather small (but fine for me!) serving of home fries. I did ask for them well done but many of them can out burnt. The bread that the Benny was served on was too thick. It was super tough to cut through. I believe it was grilled on the griddle and was overcharrred leaving it with an odd taste. The eggs on top may have been poached but there was barely a runny yolk so it was hard to tell. There was too little hollandaise. Overall - it was all just a bit flat for me. The do squeeze their own lemonade which was refreshing and delicious! The vibe is cute - rustic and cozy. My waiter was nice - attentive and engaging without over doing it.

Best egg sandwich I've ever had. A small and quaint spot convenient to town. Rachels is the best!

I had a breakfast sandwich and a peach tea. Delicious. The owner was very sweet and seemed to know all the locals, which says a lot. I was just visiting in the area. Nice place.
