We visited Walker Road Vineyards today after seeing the sign while driving through the countryside and we cannot recommend it enough. The scenery was beautiful. The barn gave it a rustic feel and the wine was delicious. My husband and I had the rose and it was superb. Also the owners were incredibly kind and took the time to talk to us about the history of the vineyard and they walked around talking to other people too. Quiet little vineyard, operated by the owners. Got a brief presentation from the husband and then ordered a couple glasses. Scenic little spot. The selection is small and mostly dryer wines.
Went there with my friends Karen and Liz and it was just the most perfect place for wine and laughs . Jim and his wife bruce were so sweet and knowledgeable about their wine and you can really taste the love put into it. The barn and the tractor gave it the final touches! Left home with two bottles of red wine and can’t wait to come back for some more ! Best hidden gem in ct !!!
