By far the best BBQ in the area. Big John’s was closed so I went to Racks… no comparison. Big John’s ribs have so much more flavor, moistness, and a unique barbecue sauce that I can’t get enough of.
I'm from KY and lived in numerous locations around the South. This is true southern BBG. The hallmark of good BBQ is that it tastes great without any sauce. Check! His hot sauce was little sweet for me and yet still left me wanting for more. I am a big fan of hickory smoked meat, and I know that mesquite is a big thing in Texas. I could not detect any wood smoke in this BBQ; it was simply charcoal. I also suspect that he is cooking at 250deg , instead of the 220deg...
