I used to love this place, but man it went downhill ever since. Went in and ordered a 10" Tuna sub. They said 10 mins. it was done in about 3. I said wow! Until I got home. I opened it and l couldn't see the Tuna. I thought maybe they forgot it.... nope. I had to take the lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cheese off to see the Tuna. It was spread flat only on one side of the roll. I measured it with a tape measure. It was a little less than a 1/4 inch thick. If I scraped it off it would have been enough for a 3" sub... Really! I could barely taste it. So I basically had a lettuce, onion, tomato and cheese sub, 2 slices of provolone. I asked for mayo, there was only about a teaspoon on one side of the roll. It sucked! I suggest you send your employees to Ioannoni's or Malin's Deli for a class in Sub making. WILL NEVER Ever go there again!

ALL CAPRIOTTI'S FANS READ THIS: Terrible experience. On Wednesday January 17, 2023 around 6:45PM I purchased a large cheesesteak (18 inches) for $21.99, and also paid extra for extra meat. I think the up-charge for extra meat was around $5. On top of tipping the staff 20% for the overall bill. When I picked up my cheesesteak, I automatically noticed it was very thin looking wrapped up in the paper. When I took home the cheesesteak, and unwrapped it, there was hardly ANY meat inside of it even for a normal portion! And here I am paying extra for extra mean, when it seems like I got negative meat. For paying extra, the sandwich should be hard to close. This is completely unacceptable. I paid around $30 for the skimpiest cheesesteak EVER. When I called the shop, I was told that because I didn't get mushrooms with it, "there is less filler so it doesn't look as filling". I'm not sure how that explains there is no extra meat, but it's a good cop out. The manager needs to talk to the staff, because browsing other reviews, it seems this is a normal problem with this Captiotti's: terribly low portions in sandwiches. I won't be back, that was the nail in the coffin. I was offered a $30 credit to replace the cheesesteak. I'm good, they can keep it. They might skimp the next one!

The food is much better now but how can they charge more than what is advertised. Tried to buy 2 bags of chips 4.79ea and they wanted to charge over $5 ea even though what was stamped on the bag said 4.79

Not worth the money! This was my favorite sandwich shop but not any more. We recently ordered a large Italian sub and a medium cheesesteak. The sub had very little meat, lots of lettuce and lacked flavor. The cheese steak had hardly enough meat to cover the inside of the roll. Both sandwiches were mostly bread and cost me close to $40. I’ll be looking for a new sandwich shop in the future.

I purchased 2 sandwiches a classic italian and a capastromi. I paid 25 dollars for the order i total. My Capastromi was notgood .it was cold and dry. It did not have melted cheese or the russian dressing on it. It was very disapointing. I will not be referring you to family and friends. The quality is just not what it used to be.

I've been going to Capriotti's in Bear for the last 25 years at least. Yesterday I ordered a turkey hoagie with extra turkey. I know it cost more but I sure didn't get it. The roll was so hard I had to literally pick the bottom off with my nails. I keep telling myself I'm not going back but at the same time hoping they've gotten better. The best thing about my meal was the bag of potato chips and the Pepsi I picked up to go along with it. I guess I'm going to have to try Casapulla's. I can't see Capriotti's in Bear being around for the next decade. I've never tried any of their other takeout places. But the upside is, if u ever want to bust someone upside their head and knock them out you can always use their rolls.

Again I ordered a turkey sub and mentioned twice no mayo since I'm allergic to it mentioned I wanted oil. Well again when I got it home I had mayo on the sandwich just had to throw it out. They don't listen when taking orders too far to take it back. Last time I'm ordering from them. I'll go back to casapola's who's never screwed up in order.

My experience unfortunately was one full of deception. At 6:16pm I called and placed an order of a large turkey sub it took the lady on the phone 51 seconds to take order I called back by 6:19 (2 minutes by the time i called back) and told the lady i accidentally ordered the wrong size she stated "we can't change it the sub is already done" (I couldnt figure out how the sub got done so FAST in under 2minutes but ok) so I politely said that I don't want a large I would like a medium she puts the phone to the side spoke to someone in the background and came back on the phone and said that's fine we will change it. So I head to the store. When I get to the store the lady hands me a large sub and I was like but you told me to come that you would change it so I guess the manager came over not sure but she proceeded to tell me that they would not remake it because they were closing and they wanted to keep their medium subs for other customers who had not ordered yet ...so it was getting late and obviously i was hungry, I felt cheated out of option to go somewhere else because they already had lured me to the store with the fale claims of changing my sub size which I don't believe it was even made in the first place when i called back so i proceed to pay BUT as I'm paying I let her know would like to file a formal complaint with someone to where her answer to that was "There is no one to file a complaint to because we are a franchise."So after I was told that they would change my order I drove 3.5 mile to the store which was 10minutes away and no one could have called me to tell me that they didn't have any mediums subs would I like cancel the order? And then lie and tell me there was no one that I could contact to file a complaint! Is this how they run buisness under the Capriotti's name by lying to customers ? and doing absolutely nothing to help fix the issue at hand if it's presented to whomever is running shift?

We had gotten a Mother’s Day tray 100$ everybody was so excited when they heard it was Capriotti’s. There was hardly any meat on the sandwiches. The rolls were dry. Such a shame not one person said it was good I was embarrassed, even know all I did was order it
