“To be honest, I usually avoid this place. I have had many experiences with the same location and been so unhappy about the quality of the food.

Tonight, March 14, 2025, was the first time I have had my opinion shifted so quickly in the literal opposite direction. Tonight I experienced the absolute BEST takeout fried chicken of my life. Tonight’s meal was so unexpected that I had to make note of it here.

To whomever was cooking this evening at this location, kudos! Well played and well deserving of a fat $tip.

Thanks know flukes happen, but I’m relatively positive that whoever is working the line tonight, is worth more than they are being paid.

“Great service. Fast. Feeding four ppl.Ordered 12pc. Xtra Crispy. With corn, mash potatoes, mac & cheese, biscuits, and fries. Next time, hold the corn and fries. Double up on the Mac & cheese and get the potato wedges. And we only needed the 8pc. chkn. Kiddos crushed the mac and cheese.

Def should not cost 48$....that's crazy. But hot damn that was finger licking good. Just like I remember when I was a kid.“

Not only that, but it's a bargain! Wait till you feel the weight of chicken in each order. You won't be left hungry.

Folks at the counter were very helpful. Not all the flavor names are obvious to American ears

Kid-friendliness: When I went there was a little boy freezing cold with food but didn't buy it there and they told him to come in the dining area and warm up and eat his food. Not sure why the parents let him out at that time in that age and that weather?So yes they're kid friendly“

“I always go to this store whenever I visit my family in Delaware, can’t drive past without stopping for some of their food, it’s so well seasoned and always cooked perfectly. The staff is on a level all their own, always so friendly and helpful. I just love going there.“

“This is the best Chick-fil-A in my area! Their staff is always friendly, the food is almost always made correctly, and is fresh. And they almost always provide plenty of sauce. Ordering on the app and hopping in the drive thru is the way to go! However, if you choose to sit inside, their tables are always clean, staff is walking around and making sure you’re having a good experience!“

“my boyfriend showed me this restaurant three years ago and every time I come to visit him in Delaware I make sure to stop by here and get some wings. This reminds me of the southern comfort food I grew up eating- it gives me homemade feelings when i eat it!!!

“This is the best Chick-fil-A. it's the typical salty Chick-fil-A food that should be enjoyed in moderation, of course, but this particular location has really great service. The lobby is pretty large, and the play place really gives you an option for a fun place to take your little ones. They have this place well-staffed on all shifts, and there are usually workers floating around the lobby making sure the customers have everything they need. This kind of service is getting rare at many fast food establishments. There is never a huge wait here, and if they forget something, there is usually someone nearby you can flag down to fix it quickly. So many other fast food chains are really suffering and the experience has
tanked in quality because there just aren't enough adequately trained people on any given shift to take your order, make and serve your food *and* keep the place clean and the drink, condiments, and supplies stocked and operational. This place is always busy, and it's because people can rely on good service.

Kid-friendliness: They have family nights with games, activities, and promos where they partner with other businesses and organizations. The cow comes out to pose for pictures with the kids too. The play place is always helpful for younger kids to make friends and have some fun.“

“The Fried Chicken (duh!) Walt's Chicken is legitimately incredible fried chicken. The Lincoln Street location, Walt's Chicken Express, run by apprentice-turned-master Larry Fletcher, transcended even the original Walt's Flavor Crisp Chicken. Even if they "weren't hungry" when you left, they'll be furious you didn't pick them up a 3 piece dinner box) Lastly, don't expect anything special from anything else they serve. Sides, fries, fried shrimp, dessert, whatever else. They range from "decently good" to "mediocre at best." You're not there for cornbread.“
