This isn't my first time here, we asked for extra rice last time and we were told to swap a side for it next time. Today we requested a large oxtail platter with extra rice as a side and the platter still contained the same small amount of rice as a regular platter which was very disappointing. This prompted me right a review. The food is delicious, not salty and freshly made. The restaurant used to look nice. However, the atmosphere is now a bit disorganized.
Don’t order the mac n cheese under any circumstances. It’s extremely bland. The jerk chicken and plantains were decent, but the jerk chicken and rice lacked the flavor and spice I expected. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the food I was expecting from a Jamaican restaurant.
The food is delicious! They serve authentic Jamaican food. The staff is dedicated, and provide great customer service. If you are looking for a great Jamaican meal, stop in, call to order or dine in.
