I was there about a month ago with my girlfriend and the food was terrific plenty of flavor nice big portions. Today we went back and ordered the same thing. It was completely different we ordered the food and it came out within 5 minutes. The portions size of the chicken lo mein was about half the size that it was the flavor was not there. The chicken tastes boiled with no flavor. My girlfriend ordered Chicken with rice and vegetables. Her food was cold lacking in flavor and had no vegetables. When we brought it to the server's attention she brought it back and you could hear the server and the chief arguing with each other. The food came was hot but still was bland with hardly any vegetables. We even asked to look at the menu to order something else with more spice and flavor, knowing we still have to pay for what we got and was told no we will fix and they did not and didn't even offer to take off my food because I could eat it had to leave it there. So mad and on top of that after leaving there because we was still hungry.

Huge food very yummy. Fast service eating in the restaurant. Can sit many there. Food was hot and dipping sauce where great. Fun using chopsticks but can ask for fork if need . I had chicken and fried rice and vegetables and dumplings pork and my friend how noodles said that it was great. Wings was crispy. Can soda or bottle water and few others drinks in bottles I didn't know what they was. Portions was able to feed up to at less 3 people on the plates served. Has tables and booths. But parking is hard to get in front of mom kitchen but parking across in parking lot.
Hi I wanted to edit my opinions on Mom's kitchen today is November 17 , 2025 . I & my friend went back there today the food came out cold and had to be reserved and my friend food noodles wasn't eatable.when we ask if we could get something else the front cashier woman keeps saying she take it back refried the rice still came back no tastes and taste greasy and the spring rolls was burn and the dumplings was smaller portions. Then ask if we could take off my friends meal because he's wasn't able to even eat it . Plus on top of that the chef and the cashier woman was very loud arguing over how the food was to be made . The check came out to be $45 and then paid still and after had to go elsewhere to eat because we where starving and end up at a better restaurant miles down the road. Shame on customers service miss opportunity to make things better. Better not ask for a cola because they had was zero sugar or sprite or orange or tea . Mini cans to drink . The portions was so cut down from last time wow . Last a customer for life . The chicken was boiled the life out of it and was tasteless. The problem I see they where dead no reason to not be able have a great service. They have older children high chairs from McDonald's from the late 90's. One restroom for all guest feels like a closet. Trouble understanding English I know they are Chinese but come on . Please listen for us to be able place a ordered so as we set down means we eat there before. Bad moved on them.

This place used to be good years ago. Now, the food is over cooked, over salted, over seasoned, and very oily. I repeatedly ordered food over time hoping it would be as good as it used to be but it got worse. I kept thinking that I was down on luck with a bad cook, but no--they do not care at all anymore. I keep requesting to not burn my food or try to make it with less salt or sauce, but they do the opposite (possibly out of spite?). The place is dead and they still manage to make all my orders in one pan with incorrect spices, which do not belong in any of my dishes. I wasted too much money here over the past year to not complain. If you want noodle dishes, they are less likely to screw it up.

AWFUL!!! I didn’t think there could be any worse Chinese food than what’s in Dover/Smyrna areas, but this was by far the worst ever! The fried rice has no taste whatsoever. The chicken & broccoli had a weird off taste no garlic in it. It was a waste of time & money if I could give 0 stars I would!

Services - disrespectful as the old lady was on a personal call for 10 mins before talking my order. She throw my credit card on the table and it slide onto the floor. So repeated throwing the receipt on the table. Rude old lady with an attitude Food - On my first old she gave me salty beef with mix vegetables as I ask for beef and broccoli with garlic sauce. The second order, I ask for Singapore noodle without eggs as my son is allergic to eggs. After receiving my order and rushing home. I tasted the food and thrown everything out as my son can't eat eggs and the beef with mixed vegetables smell old and raw beef. Atmosphere - Looks old, dark, and ding.
I had food from here 3 years ago and was disappointed twice. Never coming back. Save your money and time.

This was the worst food I’ve ever tasted. I ordered chicken and broccoli and General Tso’s chicken. Both dishes lacked flavor, smelled foul and the texture was off. My son and I both ate a couple of forkfuls and decided that it was too bad to continue eating. I wasted $35 tonight.

This is the 2nd time visiting and it has not disappointed. The food was tasty (S&P pork chops & fish w/eggplant). The soda/tea is canned, ice water is from a pitcher. The restaurant seemed clean and waitstaff was nice. Very pleasant dinner.
Worst Chinese food ever. Seems they took over cooked steamed rice and poured soy sauce over it and sold to me as fried rice. The pork was not seasoned and white in color and no taste.-- so definitely wasn't pork fried rice. The sweet and sour chicken was very hard. I just threw the entire container away. The egg rolls was so greasy, I had to throw them away also. First and last time coming to this place.

We had an excellent experience at Mom’s Kitchen. The people here are so nice and friendly. The food is very good. We were a party of four and ordered 3 appetizers and 3 main dishes. I recommend the scallion pancake with beef and peppers, and ma po tofu. We will definitely return.

Amazing food. It’s one of the hole in the wall places where you can get the most delicious authentic Chinese cuisine from a large selection of food from different parts of china. We were surprised how good it is. Their beef/ Ox tongue was surprisingly delicious, i also like the braised pork ribs and the cabbage.

We have been ordering from Moms for years for take out dinners. The pork fried rice is a family favorite as well as the sesame chicken and just about everything else was really good. But it seems that things have changed and not for the better. Inside updates are nice but the recipes have changed. Tonight the pork fried rice was very dry and bland, the sesame chicken was definitely not fresh, and the other items (chicken with broccoli and spicy cucumbers) were drenched in oil that tasted very off. Basically everything went from what used to be 5 stars down to 2. If there is new ownership, I hope that they go back to the old recipes. We will give them one more chance but if it is anything like tonight we will find another place to order.
