First time there, will be back. It was very busy right after church service. Only a few minutes of a wait. Food and servers where exactly what I'd hoped for Wonderful!!.

These prices are out of line with what a diner is supposed to be. You've lost my business, it's not what it used to be.
It was great food, affordable, friendly staff that was always checking in, and fast service! I'll definitely be going back!

First time here ans went in about 3:30 PM. Ordered French Onion soup, cheese omelette with home dies and white toast. Within 3 minutes all the food was delivered - no soup first and then platter for it all! The “soup” was 95% bread and 5% onion; however; one spoon of broth! The omelette was a flat piece of egg about 8 inches long with 2 inches of cheese - potatoes may have been ok if they were hot! The toast not sure if has been sitting there before butter applied but it was layer of butter laying on the bread - better yet not even butter but a spread ! The waitress did ask me why I didn’t eat and I showed her the soup and she said “yeah it is kind of dry”! My first time here and my last
Beautiful workers, wonderful atmosphere, gorgeous on the inside and wonderful food, drinks, and desserts!! i highly recommend.

Apparently you can buy reviews or ask people to post false reviews in exchange for food to prop up what the health department should’ve shut down two years ago. We’ve lived in Bear all our life and watched the Route 40 diner go from a decent Kenny Rogers restaurant and even before that when Charlie from The Eating Post bought it. We have seen the demise of decent food from this place recently. One night we ordered stuffed flounder with crabmeat and got a cardboard like substance with some unknown filler. When we asked politely about it ,we were berated by the owner and embarrassed to have said anything as she laughed it off to the other patrons. Her favorite comment is “I don’t give a xxxx” sarcastically yes but how unprofessional and true to her word. The sirloin steak was from the Dollar Tree (yes) The fried potatoes with breakfast now is from whatever didn’t sell yesterday,,,bland ,stale and damp. How hard is it to screw up breakfast? The bacon is obviously reheated and tasting greasy….. The all you eat Chicken and Dumplings was just a bite or two of chicken and endless bowls of flour in a tasteless broth.. We asked for a little more chicken and the waitress said it was at the bottom of the bowl… we never found it. Never again. Make it stop.
Was a slow time for the Diner. Service was fantastic. So much food I needed a to go bag.

Good food, good service. Has the diner feel even though it's in a strip mall.
