Dinner was amazing! One person in our party has a shellfish allergy. They were exceptional with accommodations. The manager came to the table and let him know exactly which foods would be safe to eat and the measures the kitchen would take to avoid cross contamination. Our group got a variety of BBQ items and everyone was satisfied. Highly recommend.

I heard lot of good things about this place, so last night, i finally decided to try this place out for the first time. Horrible experience. It was around 7:30, the place wasn’t crowded, I sat down at the bar and then… bartender slammed the menu in front of me, not even looked at me in the eyes while talking to the customer sat next to me. A moment later, she asked me with a rude tone if I want anything. They closed at 9 so i thought i had enough time for few drinks and food, so I asked her to surprise me with anything, shaken no ice. Every bartender should know that term right? She pointed at the menu replied with a rude tone again “anything here can be shaken with no ice”. I froze. I was like WOW.. I took my breath and asked her to give me a moment… and then i realized it just killed my appetite so I left. Why did i get treated like that? Because I am asian? I haven’t try the food yet, doesn’t matter how good the food is or how busy you are, you have no respect for customer who bring money to you no matter the race is not consider a success. Hopefully the management takes this seriously.

came here recently with friends and had an uncomfortable experience with the décor. There is a statue/artifact on display of a Black figure playing a saxophone that looks like a caricature or blackface image. The exaggerated dark skin and features are very reminiscent of racist minstrel imagery, which was historically used to mock and dehumanize African Americans.
As someone who values and respects Black culture and the real history of jazz and blues, seeing that kind of outdated and offensive figure on display was disappointing and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It sends the wrong message, especially in a restaurant environment where guests of all backgrounds should feel welcome.
I hope the management reconsiders keeping this statue. Celebrating music and culture is great, but it should be done in a way that honors the people who created it — not through harmful stereotypes.

Food was hit or miss for our party. Brisket was great but salmon and appetizer dip were just blah. Service was infrequent despite the restaurant being moderately full.

Four of us had dinner everyone enjoyed what they had ordered… The crabcakes are the best around. Good ribs good brisket good pulled pork definitely recommend.

Excellent service, good drinks and bourbon selection, and the atmosphere was good.

The BBQ was not great, it wasn’t horrible, but really not great. The brisket was dry, the pulled chicken had a rubbery texture, and the ribs were just not hitting like they should’ve. The green beans were good.

Hands down the best local BBQ around. The meats are tender, smoky, and packed with flavor—you can tell they’re cooked low and slow the right way. The ribs fall off the bone, the pulled pork is juicy, and the brisket is melt-in-your-mouth good. Pair it with their homemade sides (the mac and cheese and baked beans are a must), and you’ve got a meal that hits every craving.

The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the service is friendly and down-to-earth. It feels like a true neighborhood spot where quality and tradition come first.

If you love BBQ done right, this place is a must-visit. Authentic, satisfying, and unforgettable.
