What more could you ask for in an ice cream shop? Hard ice cream with lots of flavors,, done. Soft serve delicious custard,, done. Great milkshakes? Yessir
This is the spot. Don’t bother with the others.
Hand dipped ice cream is cheap quality and low on flavor
The soft serve ice cream is a lot better than Kohr’s. We had it the night before and everyone agreed Dickey’s was a lot better. Much creamier. If you’re trying to choose between stores, go here

I saw this custard shop on Man vs Food and wanted to check it out when we visited Rehoboth Beach. I found nothing special with the chocolate/vanilla swirl custard. Definitely not worth the drive from Rehoboth to Bethany for this. If you're already in Bethany Beach, go ahead and give it a try, but please don't go out of your way to go to this place.
This is the best custard I have had in some time (and better than nearby competitors). There are two locations, one on the boardwalk and the other on a side street, so wait times to be served are quite manageable
Dickey's does a few things well, but service isn't one of them. Their product and their location make this a prime money printing operation, but I learned too mich about the boy who was serving custard (he is having girl issues - unrequited love), and the girl serving had a nasty attitude and couldn't be trusted to count cash properly. It's not a bad spot. But prepare to be unimpressed.
