Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard

After a day on the beach for my birthday, my son wheeled me around the boardwalk and the shops a block over, wanting to get me something but not knowing what. We finally spotted Kohr Brothers and decided it was just the thing. J told me to get whatever I wanted.

Well. As usual, my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I wanted a cone with peanut butter and chocolate swirl, plus sprinkles. They had a "regular" cone for whatever price I can't remember (not outrageous at all, though), and a "small" cone for, well, obviously, less. I ordered the regular.

This thing was massive!!! I barely had time to take this quick photo for the review before I started wearing chocolate sprinkles on my bathing suit skirt. 😆 It IS still summer, after all.

I was eating it as fast as I could, not just because it was delicious, but also because I didn't want to waste any of that. However, I had a skirtful of chocolate jimmies by the time we reached our van and the rest of our party.

By that time, I was FULL of the most delicious ice cream I've had in a LONG, long time, and promptly handed the rest off to Hubs. He gave it his 2 👍🏼 as well.

As far as the shop went, it was busy, busy with customers at that time (7:13pm), and still looked clean and tidy from my perspective in the wheelchair. The young man who helped us exuded friendly professionalism with a big smile, knowing exactly what we wanted, hope much they were, and where to find them, without having to check with 9 other people. I appreciated that.

Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard is a MUST if you're visiting Bethany Beach. I'm not sure if they are open year-round, but if they are open when you're in the area, take a hop-skip on over there to try the goods. Trust me.

Wheelchair accessibility: I use a chair and had no problems pulling up and placing my order directly.

Don’t be deterred by the big lines. They move quickly! Worth it for awesome frozen custard.

The waffle cone flavors were fantastic, and the orange sorbet was a great choice—glad I picked it. Although the caramel was a bit disappointing, everything else was top-notch. Despite the long lines, it was definitely worth the wait. The location is very convenient, perfect for tourists. Prices are okay, a bit on the higher side, but expected for a tourist spot.

The ice cream was great. The lines were very long.

Parking: Parking right by it is hard to come by, especially in the evening. However there is paid street parking if you are willing to walk for more than 10 minutes.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs from there to the parking. They also have a few handicap spots.

This is the perfect way to complete a trip to the beach. On a hot day, this place is perfect.

The staff is friendly, quick, and skilled at making ice cream cones! I'm a huge fan of the coffee/caramel twist with chocolate shell.

We love to get some ice cream and wander along the beach. If you get caught in a line, it's well worth the wait.

The best ice cream on the boardwalk! It's definitely worth trying at least once (the lines move fast). You won't be disappointed. They have a few different soft serve flavors to choose from. Absolutely recommend the Chocolate Peanut Butter swirl! If you get the Jimmies, they roll your cone in them instead of sprinkling so every bite has sprinkles. It's the best!

The kid in the light green shirt and glasses is a natural born leader. We were really impressed with his service and ability to assemble a great ice cream cone. Surprisingly, not everyone who works here can say the same.

Drove up from Ocean City because you location's hours are listed as open until 11:00 PM. It's 6:45 PM and I'm standing in front of a closed Kohr Brothers. Changing your hours for the off season makes sense, so does updating your hours on Google so people don't waste their time driving to you.

Outstanding custard, went on a recommendation, and very pleased, we went twice ! Vanilla/chocolate, chocolate/peanut butter and orange/vanilla- waffle and regular cones - expensive but worth the treat

We love Kohrs, usually, and go their daily on our visits to Bethany. We were surprised at how unfriendly the staff serving us was. We ordered 5 ice creams- but a child from our party did not like the flavor he ordered (first time ordering) and the staff refused to change it, even though he only had one bite. For the price we paid- it was disappointing that they won’t accept this- bad customer service.
