The location is phenomenal, very close to the ocean (about a 3-5 minute walk) as well as the Bethan boardwalk. The staff are friendly and patient. The frozen custard doesn’t taste as good as a chick fill an ice cream, but everyone has different tastes. The price is on the higher end, which is to be expected in a tourist location such as this.
Enjoyable but wish they had more flavors
The burger was cooked to perfection with fresh ingredients that made every bite memorable.
It was eh. Had that almost fake fluffy ice cream texture. Should have gone to the ice cream place next door
$7.50 for a small vanilla w/ sprinkles??? That’s CRAZY! And on top of that- 4 tip jars staring at you when you pay. It takes 2 seconds to put that ice cream in the cone. What are you asking people to tip for?? There are plenty of other ice cream shop options in Bethany!
Always a line and now I know why! Super creamy and delicious. Loved the peanut butter chocolate swirls. Very fast service
Best part of going to the beach!!!
Every time my family visits, Kohr Bros is the first stop. Can’t beat it.
So yummy! Highly recommend carmel and coffee. Small sizes are very large!
If you go to the Delaware beach, getting a custard cone at Kohr Bros is an absolute must!! Nothing cools you down more on a hut summer day at the beach than custard from KB!!
Right off of the boardwalk. The lines are always long, but they move quickly, and it’s worth the wait. The workers are also courteous and efficient in getting the orders out.
Thick, creamy custard covered with rainbow jimmies. I get a twist. The vanilla pops with flavor. The chocolate is rich and creamy. You have your choice of cones; waffle cones with a chocolate rim, covered with either jimmies or nuts. But, my go-to is the cake cone. I just like the flavor of it. Both cones hold up well to the melting custard. You got 3 sizes; I find the medium is plenty bug enough. They are generous in their portions.

Always a treat, consistent across s. Jersey and Delaware.
Racist language on the menu. I am a long-standing customer of this frozen custard establishment. But recently,
I realized they have a racial slur on their menu. I will no longer be eating their product until they remove the word ‘Jimmys’ which refers to black sprinkles which is connected to the Jim Crow era.
As a customer, I think they should take this off their menu. It doesn’t serve them in any positive way.
LOVE LOVE LOVE KOHR BROTHERS WITH ALL OF MY SOUL
Who doesn't love a good soft serve ice cream? Kohr Bros has several locations out here along the Delaware and Maryland beaches. It doesn't matter if it is a hot summer day or a cool fall day, their ice cream is delicious! Prices are a little high, but in line with other ice cream places in the area. The staff is typically seasonal workers (i.e., young kids working their summer job). The ice cream shop is always clean and well kept. Off season hours can vary, but come summer time they are open daily.
After a day on the beach for my birthday, my son wheeled me around the boardwalk and the shops a block over, wanting to get me something but not knowing what. We finally spotted Kohr Brothers and decided it was just the thing. J told me to get whatever I wanted.
Well. As usual, my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I wanted a cone with peanut butter and chocolate swirl, plus sprinkles. They had a "regular" cone for whatever price I can't remember (not outrageous at all, though), and a "small" cone for, well, obviously, less. I ordered the regular.
This thing was massive!!! I barely had time to take this quick photo for the review before I started wearing chocolate sprinkles on my bathing suit skirt. 😆 It IS still summer, after all.
I was eating it as fast as I could, not just because it was delicious, but also because I didn't want to waste any of that. However, I had a skirtful of chocolate jimmies by the time we reached our van and the rest of our party.
By that time, I was FULL of the most delicious ice cream I've had in a LONG, long time, and promptly handed the rest off to Hubs. He gave it his 2 👍🏼 as well.
As far as the shop went, it was busy, busy with customers at that time (7:13pm), and still looked clean and tidy from my perspective in the wheelchair. The young man who helped us exuded friendly professionalism with a big smile, knowing exactly what we wanted, hope much they were, and where to find them, without having to check with 9 other people. I appreciated that.
Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard is a MUST if you're visiting Bethany Beach. I'm not sure if they are open year-round, but if they are open when you're in the area, take a hop-skip on over there to try the goods. Trust me.
Wheelchair accessibility: I use a chair and had no problems pulling up and placing my order directly.
