Ropewalk Bethany Beach

11/16/2025 I ordered Cheaspeake Chicken Breast with lump crab on top. What I got was overcooked crab(did not recognize ) and the Breast was a tenderloin, very thin with all the moisture cooked out it. Orange crush was all ice. My wife ordered chicken Alfredo, almost no white sauce. The chicken was also overcooked and dried out.
My first time at this Ropewalk. i’ve been to the ocean City and Baltimore and I’ve always enjoyed the food. First and last to the Bethany Ropewalk

The atmosphere had great potential IF we could have gotten waited on. Multiple servers walked past us and nobody even took a drink order. My husband even asked if we had a server and still nothing. After 15 minutes we left and noticed all the servers standing around in the back. Would not recommend!

Food is okay especially for the beach but there are a lot of better places you could stop while you're in town.

Soooo disappointed in the food and service!!! We LOVE the food at Ropewalk OC, one of our favorite restaurants! But we were in bethany and decided to give it a try despite the so-so reviews on food. ALL of the food we ordered was terribly dry and overcooked. It did not even taste the same as Ropewalk in OC. ** Upstairs deck was gorgeous.**.....but no wonder the rest of the place was empty!! FOOD WAS TERRIBLE AT ROPEWALK BETHANY..... Need to purchase better food or hire new cooks!!!!

This place is awful! Don’t waste your time or money. Service was bad and so was the food. Food is either over cooked or undercooked leaving you feeling sick. Our server never came back to check in on us. If I could leave 0 stars I would have.

If you are a Ronald Reagan fan, you might get a kick out of this local bar. We only had chicken wings and hummus. Both were tasty enough. Fair warning, if you order an iced tea, you get a pitcher!

Used to love coming here. Last handful lf times it’s been a real disappointment. The quality of food has gone down, the prices don’t align and it’s always a long wait. As a server myself , I know there’s only so much you can do. But don’t tell us it too 45 mins to get an appetizer bc it’s busy and there’s only 3 customers in there. Used to love the Ahi Tuna that was so slimy and smelled funny. Calamari was chewy, and it was all cold (tuna being the exception). Our final straw and major ick was the chicken wings we always liked- until the wings had feathers still left on them! The server he didn’t acknowledge it, laughed and didn’t say sorry. He said he can’t see them they were on the top of the pile. I hope they turn it around or it become a better service-new restaurant.

Extremely mediocre food. Service was adequate. Prices way too high, you could get this food at any dive. Price of drinks not marked on menu.
