Sandy Pony Donuts & Acai Bowls Drive thru

They had GF donuts! My celiac daughter was thrilled. She got powdered sugar (that and cinnamon sugar are the only GF options because of the risk of cross contamination). The other donuts were nice, hot, and cakey. Very good!

It’s a drive thru attached to a gas station so it looks sketchy but in fact is honestly some of the best donuts I’ve had in a while!

It’s a little unconventional looking on the inside. It doesn’t look like a traditional donut shop. So if you were thinking about going in there were you can look at all of the beautiful donuts on display guess again. I got a muffin because it came in a cup with a lid and I was going on the beach, so it made the most sense to me lol. The muffin was really good. No complaints there. From what I understand the donuts are similar to duck donuts. They’re all cake, no raised.

This was our family’s first time to Bethany Beach for vacation. Each day included an afternoon iced coffee, which was great. Donuts are outstanding! The staff and especially Ben (owner) were very welcoming. Of all the Bethany Beach things we did all week, the Sandy Pony was our favorite. Thank you Ben!

Always a pleasure to get a sandy pony donut! Blue moon is my absolute favorite! Just wish they could do a half blue moon half strawberry glaze with the cinnamon sugar haha! So worth stopping here. Just wish it was year round for the locals.
