I moved to the area a few months ago and I've been hunting for the best pizza shop. The crust was just right for me. Cheese almost to the edge, crust thin, but not too thin and still foldable. The toppings were fresh and the staff was great. If I think I found my pizza shop.
The absolute BEST steak and cheese, and Turkey subs! The food is amazing. The staff is great. If I could change one thing- they would be open for business year round.

So disappointed. Read really good reviews so thought the menu looked good and it was convenient. Arrived about five and there were a few tables at that time. We were greeted by a really sweet hostess that sat us outside. Waitress was very nice and we ordered drinks and meals immediately. Means we’re seafood quesadillas and a chicken rice bowl. Now the wait began. Ordered another drink and waited and waited. Finally went inside and the hostess realized how long we had been there. By now it was crowded, many take out orders and tables inside. Finally our waitress returned and said it was her fault that she forgot our order. Priority order now which took another 15 minutes. Just about ready to walk out and the cook brought out our food. Manager never came out. Waitress told us dinner was free. We did leave her a tip. Food was just ok. Too many places in Bethany to go back. Hopefully for others this was just mistakes on a busy night. Walked out two hours later.

Whenever I am down, I usually love coming to surfs up for cheesesteaks pizza etc. I heard the rumors of them having thinner crust and diff recipe but chose to still get the food. We ordered pizza and wings. Pizza made the rumors true, and they didn’t put the sauce on the wings and looked at me with annoyance when I asked for flats only. Super young staff with not the best customer service when they called our number, they acted annoyed when we came up to get it and said they didn’t call the number and it was only half ready.

Good food and good people. When you visit Bethany there are lots of familiar names spending tons of money advertising for your dollar. If you want to take break on the afternoon and find a place familiar because of all the times you'll visit, then Surf's Up is your place. Good Pizza, good subs, good staff, and great prices are all you need for lunch during a busy beach day.

Best subs at the shore. Cheesesteak is fantastic (done in the style of Jim's in Philly), other standouts are the italian, and the turkey. Prices might seem high, but the quality is excellent and the size (especially the large) is great.Been going here since I was a kid and it really hasn't changed much - and that is a very good thing. GO!

We stopped at Al's when we got in town. Had not been recommended but needed to stop urgently, (3 hour trip). Wow, what a pleasant surprise, enjoyed a cheeseburger, eggplant parmesan, and vege-burger sub. Pepsi products pushed it up a couple of notches for me. The food was hot and delicious and the kitchen staff was in high gear working in harmony to prepare the food. Our group enjoyed it so much, we ordered two more times during our vacation week. We will be back. Thanks Al.
